US Tariffs on China

That is gold.

Poles in the usa are twice the price and even now most guys want cheap poles that only last a year or two. We had poles made in the USA in 2007,2008 and are looking into it again but will you pay double the price for an usa made pole?

I don’t know. I have a great 35’ Tucker pole now, so until I need to replace it, I don’t know.
EDIT: Actually, I think Tuckers are USA made, so I already have paid US dollars.

Most carbon poles are made in China and shipped all over the world.

Canada just joined the US and Mexico trade deal.

Seems like tactics to get to a good end result may be working there.

I’m hopeful similar outcome with China.

Unfortunately, the primary concessions that were made are the same as the concessions from the TPP that we withdrew from in early 2016. Essentially, we are back to where we were before. Gains for dairy and automotive with the rest mostly remaining the same.

If I missed something, please let me know, but this really just feels like, “We just made major gains, by fixing what we broke…”

Obama tried ttp but during the past presidential election it was opposed by the nominees of both major parties as a symbol of failed globalism and the loss of United States jobs.

Too early yet to argue about it but the pact opens up the Canadian dairy market to U.S. exports at a level higher than the 3.25 percent market share the Obama administration negotiated under the ttp.

Also states Canada agreed to eliminate a recent milk-ingredient pricing program that U.S. farmers said dried up demand for their exports of the product.

Canada may agree to a deal that would restrict its auto exports to a level well above the current volume.

The best thing are the 3 are talking/negotiating which is something Trump critics claim he is not competent in doing.

Fact is, many slimply hate Trump as a person, get over it, see what he has and is trying to accomplish.

This country is becoming most divided over pity, vengeful and immature thinking.

What is being shown in today’s world is how politicians are the worst type of people and the tactics used are more hurtful than any outcome they are trying to gain

No. CF Sections are CNER China.

not all cf comes from CNER

Correct. Of course they don’t. I didn’t say they did.

Are CNER poles good quality?

They make Gardiner, some XERO poles, Tucker plus many others…

According to Mr. Gardiner, Gardiner poles are made in a factory that doesn’t supply cf to any other company…

3 different brands of poles here 1 is a Gardiner 2 are not.

I think Mr. Gardiner makes a very fine line of Water Fed Poles. He’s had many innovations and makes great products one of the best you can get.

I do however own an example here of almost every water fed pole in the world. I take meticulous measurements of all poles so I can be educated about the market.

I could be completely mistaken though.

I guess the only real option is to take Gardiner at his word. The alternative is to say he’s lying about who makes his poles. Not that it matters to me - like you said, he makes a fine product.

Exactly - Ive always known him to be a straight shooter.

CNER is a great manufacturer of carbon fiber tubes.

They make our tubes.

We make our poles from those tubes.

Chris and Shawn have answered that question for you and they’re the guys putting the money where their mouths are. I’ve had a play with a couple of examples over here and the full carbon and above models seem excellent. I’m also keen to see their new 3rd Gen Clamps once they hit the market. As an aside I made the same comment about Gardiner on a UK forum and was chastised roundly by Alex who repeated the ‘small private’ factory line :man_shrugging: So who knows
