Uniform overalls

You know, that’s exactly what I was thinking.

I’ve thought about this and more so many times. I’ve even posted about some of my less than admired ideas. Lol. Please let us know how they work out because I would like to know.

I would try overalls made from khaki pant material (100% cotton). I wear khaki pants during the summer anyways as it’s better to keep covered. Dickies might not be 100% cotton. Some of their pants are a blend or 100% synthetic. They also have the real thick ones, I don’t recall what the material is called. It look s like regular khakis but much thicker. Which kind did you get?

My philosophy is that in the summer your going to be hot anyways no matter what you do. You can’t get away from the heat. It’s hard to tell if it’s what your wearing that’s making you hot or if your just hot because it’s hot out. Now I’m jot saying so go ahead and wear a black trash bag for a shirt but no matter what you wear your going to be hot. At least here in the South.

You better update with a glorious photograph sporting your new look!

Lol!

The ones I ordered are 12oz 100% cotton.

You’re right about the summer heat, too. It’s gonna be sweltering even if you go around naked. So I figure if I must wear clothes, they may as well serve some utility.

I already wear khaki pants and a long sleeve Polo every day (I think shorts are too casual, plus I prefer to have more cover from the sun) so I don’t think the overalls will be much worse temperature-wise.

I wore the white painters overalls for a couple of years on and off. Even wore a white drivers cap to compliment the outfit. I still have 3 pairs but with all the newer dri-fit lightweight fabrics for shirts and lightweight durable nylon pants I doubt I could go back to rocking the overalls. They are too cumbersome in my opinion.

You should check out what fabric uniform companies offer, the button up shirts/pants are very light weight and will dry really fast.

I actually did this, and used it in my marketing for a while. The main downside for me was when I upgraded my company uniforms, the shirts and logos are basically covered up. And the heat doesn’t really matter in my opinion, hot is hot in the summer, 2-5 extra degrees didn’t matter when it reaches 90+.

That may be a good thing.

I’ll take my nylon cargo shorts and a Nike Dri-Fit golf shirt any day over heavy cotton overalls when it’s 90+ out but to each his own I guess.

Yah you can’t just cover that up bro. Go home and clean yourself! That’s just nasty!

I am totally all about light weight cargo shorts and light weight short sleeve shirts except for colder days; and jeans when working at the “Chihuahua” house.
Florida Summer heat is killer working outdoors, and today’s heat was prime example and not even Summer yet! Maybe if the overalls were made of cheesecloth or something! lol
