Unger Ninja scraper defective

I recently ordered two Unger ninja scrapers and holsters. (not from WCR because I’m in Canada.) One of them is amazing as it should be, and the other must be defective. It never scrapes evenly on the glass. Most of the time it just leaves the entire pass of soap and water sitting on the glass, untouched, while sometimes actually scraping just a few lines.
It isn’t the razor blade, I’ve replaced it with a new one and the same problem persists.

Does anyone know if there is a way to contact Unger for them to send me a new, hopefully non defective one? Thanks in advance.

I know on my ettore scraper there is only one direction you can push to get a full scrape. I marked the scraper on that side so I know. Does it scrape properly on one side, or not at all?

It doesn’t scrape properly on either side. The other one that I ordered works fine. It’s just the second one that seems defective.

Headache you don’t need, return it.

I would like to return it to Unger directly. The store that I purchased it from (Canada Cleaning Supplies) charges a restocking fee as well as shipping to return the item. I should not have to pay for all of that for simply a defective item. I would just like the item that I ordered. An Unger Ninja Scraper that works properly.

Even when the item is defective? That doesn’t sound right.

Hi Craig, you should be able to contact Unger directly with proof of purchase to get it replaced. Your supplier, (sorry it wasn’t me. :wink: ) should have done this for you. I’ve had Unger replace stuff for my clients a few times. Unger stands by their product and will take care of you.

Thank you everyone for your replies. And thank you Mark, I will keep you in mind before ordering next time. Actually I just looked at your store. Do you think you’ll be stocking any Moerman equipment in the near future? Specifically the Liquidator channels and Excelerator handles?

Used to shop at Canada Cleaning Supplies myself until I switched to @Beautiful_View. Glad I did.

unger stands behind their products. We have had issues with a couple unger items in the past and they have replaced them with no questions asked. One of the many reasons why we lean towards unger products.

I thought my ninja scraper was defective too until I changed the blade. I think the scraper blade it comes with is the issue. Fortunately when I bought the scraper I also bought a 25 pack of the stainless steel blades. When I replaced it, I didn’t have the issue anymore.
