I was curious on how far most are willing to travel for window cleaning?
I was thinking about how many small towns there are in my state and how there might be an opportunity to hone in on some small town business, if i can schedule it to make sense from a profitability point of view, This would also be under the assumption that these small towns don’t already have a local window cleaner.
Just trying to get people thoughts on this thought of mine and if anyone has experience traveling for work due to a market demand that is not being satisfied.
I live 35 - 45 minutes outside my market. So I will do maybe an hour max travel to a job. Not a big deal really. I have driven 2+ hours to Phoenix for customers who have a second home there, but I wouldn’t go there otherwise.
We will go about an hour. I hate working in Boston with a passion so we will only travel up to the outskirts. It gives me a fairly large area, About half of Massachusetts, a little bit of RI. I dont focus any marketing more than 30 minutes outside of my area though. Doesnt slow down the calls though. I was recently entertaining the idea of doing a scratch removal job on Cape Cod which would have meant driving about an hour to an hour and a half, then taking my truck on a ferry and staying out there for a week or more. But vehicle problems and the fact that I have a family made it too complicated of a task
If its just one job in the area then the one client gets the $50.00 fee. if i am doing more than one customer, then the $50.00 gets divided by all of them.
