Transit vrs Nissan 200?

Was suppose to look at a Ford transit, took a wrong turn and ended up at the Nissan dealership

Forgetting warranties and gas mileage online comparisons said the Nissan was skinner. Looked too skinny but I am comparing to the NV 1500 we had. Loved that but one pita issue.

Anyone done the digging and want to save me time?

I don’t have a personal experience with either one. The family we bought our WC business from 5 years ago went into the carpet cleaning and repair business. About two years ago they bought a Nissan NV200 just for repair jobs. They only had it for about a year. They said it was a lemon; a vehicle setup for repairs jobs was constantly getting repaired.

Had a 2015 nv200 for almost a year before getting rear-ended.
I think they worked out the kinks from when they started making them in 13-14.
Never gave me problems.
But I think the engine is too small if your gonna put a full load inside it. It’s a small 4 cylinder. I never really floored it, just cruised everywhere.

I also test drove a transit when I was shopping around. The roof is so low on it. I think the van is just set up lower to the ground than the nv200.
Everything inside the ford seemed a bit better quality than the Nissan. But the price on the ford was like 23-25k plus taxes and fees.

Great link thanks @Infinity

I’m very happy with our Transit Connect

Should have my Nv200 in possession tomorrow. I liked both vehicles but the added mpg in the city and the larger space of the nv200 sold me. Plus I’m getting mine for $4000 under blue book. I’ll let you know how it goes.

For our area: the Ford is 2k more
Nissan’s warranty double in miles/years

I will just have to see a transit.

Thanks for the replies and will check that link now

Transit hands down. Just more room in the back.

19 more cubic feet of cargo space in the Nissan than the Transit. If it’s a lot of room you are looking for, go for the promaster.
