Good tip Jeff.
It always helps with efficiency when you now exactly what size channel is needed for the job at hand.

Just carry one channel 3" and you’ll be able to squeegee 99% of the windows you come across.
The you don’t have to waste money on a Sharpie!

if you’re a one man show you could do all the cut ups left to right and then the big panes right to left

I have a channel just because it was only way I could attach a video here. I use waterfed poles 3 or more days a week when water is available onsite.
We find more and more buildings that have no exterior water source for connection. These are large buildings and I’m surprised.

I have noticed this a lot more lately on (new) business complexes also.
I have a selection of brass channels from 5.5” to 9.5” cut every half inch. Nine channels in all. The size is ingraved on the channel not the customer’s name because the sizes needed for each job are in my customer notes. I also have a 12” squeegee. I fan everything bigger than 9.5”. That’s it on most residential jobs. TEN CHANNELS
