I’m really looking forward to seeing this BOAB, it totally sounds like you’ve got this in the right place and that could be huge! Also wanted to let you know I sent you an email, wanted to confirm that you got it in case I had the address wrong or it went to spam.

I second that. I love the clip on the moerman boabs.

Hi Jared.

Looking at the bottom of your BOAB, it looks pretty much like other BOAB’s.

Reason I say this is because I’ve been using the plain old Pulex Tubex BOAB for years now, and the water and dirt/scum accumulation in the three squeegee slots has always been a problem. Unger came up with a good (half) fix by directing water back into the mop area. But the Unger Ninja BOAB has other features that have put me off buying one (although I like them).

Have you managed to come up with any water accumulation (or management) strategy that is better than (or at least improves on) Unger Ninja? Or solves this issue?

I realize gravity is actually the problem (can’t defeat that). It’s a constant in window cleaning. Water always runs down hill. Just seeing if you have come up with anything unique, or at least incorporate the redirecting of water from squeegee’s into mop area as the Unger Ninja has.

Yup.

  1. The water flows away from the squeegee into the mop area.

  2. It will be easy to clean out.

They’re finishing up the mold fitting this week so I’ll be heading out next week for the test.

My straps will probably be shipping out this week as well.

It’s getting closer!

I can’t wait, I need something for my excelerator with pad better than what I’m doing now trying to put in in the hammer loop on a tool belt. I need a boab for it to fit in. This is the answer it seems! Can’t wait to see it!!

So I’ll be the one who does it… How does this compare to the gunslinger, both in size and price?

I saw the gunslinger was I think $99-130 not 100% on that

Me and Richie were both trying to solve what we felt were problems with existing boabs. He went one way, I went the other.

The samurai is a hard boab about the same size as other boabs but it’s completely different in how it does stuff. It’s one reason that I’ve applied for multiple patents including international. It’s hard to say how big the gunslinger is but it does look quite a big larger than standard boabs.

Mine is made from polyethylene which is impervious to just about any chemical window cleaners want to use and should be a little lighter than standard boabs. The gunslinger is made with vinyl which depending on the type of vinyl might do good. I don’t know what sort of vinyl, nylon or thread they’re using.

Samurai price $49.99 and it’ll be carried by any distributor who wants to carry it (and I want to get them to Australia). The gunslinger you have to order directly from Reach-It.

I’ve gotten my samples and will be sending one to Chris asap and hope to get it out to the video creators here really quick as well. I’m placing my first order this morning so I hope to have a release date.

Oh… and I was tossing around another idea last night: if I can clear room in my freezer, I’m going to try freezing gear inside it. I think it should release the gear. I want to try it anyway because boabcicles suck.

The thing is that both of our boabs are designed by window cleaners to solve window cleaner problems. And boabs haven’t really changed since unger made the first one.

Man, it’s been a long hard road. 4 years of thought, a solid year of development and it’s finally coming to life… like maybe next week! It’s exciting and crazy scary at the same time.

Yesssss! It’s going to Australia! Alright! I’m next door in New Zealand, so should be able to order over the internet. Fab! Though, when good gear comes down here, there’s normally a HUGE markup (+ shipping + tax = sad and painful for my wallet!), so it may be better to order from the States. Will wait and see what happens with the price.

But I’m going to wait for the reviews to come in first from those who use it (must be tried and tested first in real world environment).

Nothing personal JaredAI, but the product has to prove itself first = common sense.

Still excited about it though! Always look forward to improvements in window cleaning technology if they can help me work smarter, not harder!

Good work JaredAI. Keep it up.

Gives a whole new perspective to seeing something and thinking “it’s just a piece of plastic” like most people think.
