The damnedist thing happened today

Kindly informed a client we would not be serving her anymore.

She then called the office immediately and said we undercharged her by 47.33, yes .33 cents. She demanded to pay the additional amount.

No idea how she came up with that amount.

Don’t spend it all in one place

Why no longer servicing?

So she was paying you even though you were going to leave? Was it a payment that she already owed you and that is why you were leaving?

Job done 2 days ago, she paid yesterday.

Wrote he an email and she called to pay that amount as she thought it was fair.

There is no making this woman happy and one of those when I hear the name my teeth begin to grind. Not worth the effort for the pay.

Such a great feeling firing those customers. Not worth the hassle.

There are too many easy to work with customers to deal with the ones that are never happy. I bet you feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

2-3 years ago would have been weight of my shoulders. Now its a clearer head & happy heart.

Man she is nice, just a negative nancy.

Her 2nd to last email she “accidentally” sent in font size 48 and insulted us 5 times.

2010 she wrote an ESSAY of a review, peppered with racist remakes

Wow! Sorry to hear that.

I’ve been on a roll this year firing customers. I’m getting less and less tolerant as I get older.

The latest was a customer that looked me right in the eyes and said, “I’m not comfortable with you in my house when I’m not here.” She had to bring her kid to camp and kicked us out of her house for the 20 minutes she was gone. She also followed my employeee around every bedroom in the upstairs and watched him work.

I kinda get it if she were a new customer, but this woman grew up knowing my wife, and their parents are really close friends. She’s known me for at least 15 years. Also, we’ve been at this house at least a dozen times over the years cleaning.

I had that happen to me once. I wish I had just packed up my gear and drove away. That would have be great but I sometimes I choose the wrong option. LOL

PS
How do you spell misery?

Yeah I kinda wished we packed up too, but our next job wasn’t until the afternoon and I still wanted to take her money one last time.

Seth: Also you have a crew. Don’t want to set a bad example for the guys. Sometimes we have to suck it up. :grinning:

In the very early days before “firing” a client was even imagined we were asked to work outside for the 15 mins a husband was to be gone so we wouldn’t rape his daughter.

Flabbergasted on many levels but screw pride, paying the bills was paramount

I lost a customer last year to a local franchise window cleaning company. I cleaned her windows for about 11 years. She was crazy picky! I was so glad she found someone else to clean her windows.

There were plenty of times I thought about firing her, but I just sucked it up. I cleaned her windows every 2 months.

I did this for years and years and years. I’ve hit a point now (this year especially) where I’ve decided to get rid of all my toxic customers once and for all. It’s for my mental well being. It feels great!

If you “fire” the right customers, then even more money rolls in. I quit doing storm windows last year and my revenues and profits are up but my pain in the butt, nightmare jobs are down.

I am totally there with you, Seth. I’ve directly dropped two toxic and many others, due to distance from me, I’ve either dropped or not committed to next year and said they can at least call and see if things have changed.

My son might move to KY to work for you if I told him that
