Tempered glass geek in the house

How’s this for irony;
First you mock me [repeatedly] for something I NEVER do - then, 120 messages later, it turns out you’re pretending YOU can do it.

More assumptions. lol

Gary: Now I think you’re fighting city hall on two fronts.

I don’t think any window cleaners in my service area use waivers.

… LOL… almost spit my coffee out reading this. Even funnier if it was not intentional.

Haha, glad you appreciated it. 'twas indeed intentional.

It didn’t just start - this industry has always been it’s own worst enemy.
Dating back to when Dan Fields and I first started warning window cleaners about the problem with some tempered glass quality - first question everyone asks is, how to find fabricating debris defects.

So you tried to give them a clue, and you tried to warn them it’s really mostly guesswork, and you tried to tell them not to pretend they can protect clients, and you asked them to stick up for each other.

There have always been window cleaners who only wanted the clue, and couldn’t or wouldn’t hear the rest of that lesson.

Gary: Some people want to hear what you have to say and others don’t. Not sure if it’s the message or the messanger. You may be wasting your time here. Not sure about that.

I’m very close to retirement and feel bad for the young guys just starting out, because they sure don’t make glass like they used to. Come to think of it they don’t make anything the way they use to. Haha

Gary is needed here… He has the biggest audience of window cleaners to deliver his important message.

I think Gary is smarter than the average bear. Glad you’re here Gary.

By bear do you mean window cleaner?

But what really is his message and how does it benefit window cleaners? He realizes scratches get worse with time? How does that helps us? Why does it matter? What makes him an authority on the subject besides him telling us he is an authority on the subject?

No you shouldn’t, you should give it a rest.

I didn’t realize bears could clean windows. I’ve only seen them catching fish.

@Nameless give it a rest guy
For a guy who just clammed up, you sure ask a lot of questions :-).

If someone were to say that Gary’s presentation could sometimes be tweeked, I wouldn’t argue. However, his is some of the best info I’ve seen here on the forum. He has received for his input more then a little abuse and returned composure and respect.
Mike, with every post you make I am happier that you are posting again.

Thanks Dale: Most of the “geeks” I have ment in my life usually lack the social skills most of the people I meet have been blessed with. I try to cut them some slack. I try to be kind. It’s not easy being gifted. I guess I think Gary is a gifted bear who knows how to clean windows. I wonder if he can fish?

That’s real big of you.:stuck_out_tongue:
And BTW, I don’t have to fish - I pay a guy.

Lol

Great to see you back, Mike!!

Just when I thought you were a putz, I find out you have a guy fish for you.
