Storm windows that don't budge

These days with so much cheap materials being used by prior trades who constructed the screen, the sun just destroys these from the mesh to the tabs

I had 2 screens today where these broke just by being touched because they are not UV stabalized, the house is BRAND NEW, maybe 18 months old.

When you have these screens where the trade has used the cheapest parts the screens just break, instead of using metal corners they have plastic ones.

I also offer screen replacement, but with that being said my day doesn’t have time to do it there and then, I had several customers who assumed it was my error for the screen breakage, when the fact is the screen broke because along the screen build either the contractor only offered the cheapest materials available or the customer chose to use the cheapest materials, either way hence why I have :

in my terms and conditions.

Same for me as Steve. Cheap materials and intense sun, rot screens in my area. I’ve run into it often.

I don’t carry screen and tools, or my table I use to rescreen, unless I know I need to rescreen. It’s just too much stuff to keep on the truck. I also am not the fastest at rescreening, so if I have many to do, I usually need to make that a separate trip.

A lot of the resi here doesn’t even have screens, or just a few windows with screens, thankfully.
