Stay hydrated while working

I work in Texas heat. I sweat a lot I drink mostly water but you still need to replace electrolytes. With out replacing potassium you can die.

Rather then drinking water blend a couple quick smoothies before the day.

Mix banana, cocoanut and water.
Not much anything else because you would be just making them to fight dehydration and not hunger.

Water will run through quickly while the cocoanut and banana works over time. Also chilled tea would also have the same effect. Preferably non cafinated tea.

Yes but for millions of years humans and every animal on the planet have been able to receive all the potassium they need from the foods they eat, it is only since mega cooperation tell you that you need it so they can make money off you.
Mate I live in Australia summer here lasts from September and ends in June( well if not officially summer but sure feels like it).
No one has ever died for not having a Gatorade.
Eat well and drink water.

Oh and if you really feel the need to replace electrolytes go to the supermarket and buy a green coconut(not out of a packet), no sugar so refreshing, I often drink 1 after a hard work.

Kiwi is good also, vitamin C with cocoanut. Natural sweetener if you want it.

I not advocating drink “sports drinks”. Just stay hydrated and replace vitamins that your body needs to function. Whichever way you choose.

For those of you blessed with decent temps right now, 7-eleven had you covered for at least a couple days. https://www.slurpee.com/byoc/

Water is best. If you get light-headed or feel like your temp is too high take a break. Water, lemon juice and natural honey give you a good boost if the electrolytes are low.

That’s what bushes are for. Or just say your leg is wet from a drippy boab. :fearful:

Try doing this in Vegas with all the cameras up now days and we have all rock landscapes. The bushes barely cover an area of homes here and no trees just palm trees and skinny Mesquite trees. No where to hide and plus if you try anything your bound to get poked by a cactus, palm tree or many other needle like cactuses here… Plus, is it worth getting caught???

I recently tried this for taste as I need electrolytes and other nutrients while doing the severe sweat thing here in Florida.

It is actually quite palatable and has everything you need. Yes, it beats Gatorade I believe. Refrigerate an apple and banana overnight and keep in the cooler during work for a snack. Summer heat is no joke folks.

I like coconut water for about the first several sips then that’s it. Odd, because I love coconut. But this drink I flat out guzzle it and spring back to work.

Same here

I live in Phoenix, and we deal with brutal summers. We hit 119 this year. I drink about a gallon of water when I am out cleaning. And I wear a big hat to keep my head cool and shaded along with sunscreen. You typically sweat out all the water you drink at that temperature.

Drank 85 ounces by noon today. Changed my shirt 3 times before finishing the job!

Took this indoor thermometer that the customer had sitting on the kitchen counter and placed it out on the deck that I was standing on with my WFP and got a 127 degree reading.

The majority of food used to be more nutritious. So while its still theyre fault its not necessarily a marketing scheme. Anyways… Back to the topic at hand.

Nope… That is the choice of food you are choosing to eat, cheap processed crap. food as a whole is still food make better choices.

We all make those choices now and again with processed foods…well, most of us. Raw foods, farm fresh foods, and fruits and nuts are still more nutritious as long as you stay away from GMO’s.
