So when do you all usually start calling your clients for spring time window cleaning reminders? I guess its different depending on weather in your area and such. Here we always get a bad dusting of pollen and most people want it after that. We never know exactly what week it will blow in. When do you start calling?

In the Midwest, we start on the first day of Spring. Most people here avoid scheduling in early April due to the unpredictable weather. However, we will start getting calls from some people at the beginning of March.
The first day of spring has become our annual tradition though. It’s a natural fit in the Midwest. Usually 1 or 2 out of 5 tell us “I was just thinking of you!”
March 15th the letters/emails and calls start going out. Normally the incoming calls start first week of April.
The first drop of door hangers will start as soon as the weather breaks this year in the Pacific northwest.
I try to be in contact with my regular customers on a constant basis through out the year.

Our schedule is set typically by February.
We basically send dates for each cleaning knowing already what time of year is preferred from their past service dates.
Residential customers get an exact date while commercial get week of date and we follow up the week prior to coming so notice can be sent.

^always been impressed with those who can fill their calendar so far out.
Mistake I use to make. Our weather is not ideal for wc in March typically, even early April be bad. So we’d have Spring Letters ready and we’d watch for the first 3-5 break of weather to mail out. That was dumb.
We know start all Spring marketing in early March. We hit it hard for 6 weeks, then pull back a little and go with what seems to be working that particular year.

Live in sunny San Diego California, the season used to start late March to late April, seems like the economy is picking up, the season seems to hit late February to early March now!

I start submitting rewritten contracts around Feb. 1st. It’s around that time when responsible and diligent condo boards get their account info back and when they meet to set the budget for the year. However, I won’t start servicing my clients until the first week of April when the temperature is most likely above freezing.

midwest here, so when the weather breaks. Did 2 houses today! It felt good to get out of house after sitting around for 3 months!..march can be busy or slow, but by april it is full on!
It took a few windows to get back in the grove but doing it for 25 years now…so like riding a bike.

well this year the pollen hit late Feb. Consequently March has been very slow. It looks like now it is starting to pick up. Pretty soon we will have pedal to the metal, I believe. How is your season going?
