Does anyone know where I can get half sections of a stack ladder? Or at least the yikes to cut down a 6’ section?
It’s the end of an era my friend. Go buy a 17ft little giant and a couple extension ladders.

I’ve heard rumors of some small operations that can fabricate custom sections. But it might be prohibitive in terms of cost and the time it takes to track such shops down.

You can’t buy yokes from Metallica Ladder Company to make a four foot middle section out of a six foot base anymore. Their insurance company doesn’t want to take on the extra liability of DIYers screwing around with the ladders original design. I believe the best we can do is roll with two base sections a six foot and a four foot. Trim a couple feet off the bottom and move the rubber feet to the new mini base section.

The mini base wouldn’t have a flared out bottom so you probably wouldn’t want to stack it as high as you can with the original base design.

On second thought just go out and buy that little giant ladder. OSHA approved

I think it’s a doable DIY adventure,if I remember correctly I think it’s a base section that’s needed . I could check mine tomorrow.
That’s an old idea from when we could buy parts for the ladder, like yokes. Alex Lacey figured that out.
Okay…on another post the guy had a five section extension ladder, how does that happen?

Ya I don’t do ladder work on tile floor without.a spot. Just me though . Seems like most don’t care. To each is own. With 3 pieces of 2 I would An have , But even then Its still not to bright , An it’s not about setting up your ladders correctly of course I always set them up correctly it’s just comon sense… tile slip , ladders- naaaaaaaa !!!
If you had one of these you wouldn’t worry. Home Depot cheap. Same mats they have behind a bar for the bar tender.
