Quick cash

Hey guys, hope all is well.

Wondering if you guys run any specials at times or what you do to get some quick cash coming in the door?! I know specials are tough cause you don’t wanna slot your own throat on pricing, so curious what you guys do when you get slow

What you’re describing sounds like desperation.

No business should be operated needing to get work to survive.

As you stated you don’t want to cut your prices but at the same time sometimes the customer base you bring in during specials isn’t a long term customer.

Its up to you on what type of customers you want to service.

Knock doors, put out door hangers, mailings, flyers…

Your standard rate should be high enough to account for account for travel time between jobs that you get from cold calls. That gives you some leeway to give a discount for work you do in a targeted area - in a certain time frame. “This weekend I’ll be working in your neighborhood. By working in a local area I save time and gas - and pass the savings to my customers. This weekend only if you’ve received our flyer you can save 20% off our normal rates…”

If your prices are too low to begin with you won’t have the ability to give a discount to encourage buyers to buy. Giving a discount with a timeline encourages buying.

I try not to run specials and give services away, but sometimes it may be necessary to get new customers. I tell them it is a special and after the initial clean it will be x amount of dollars. If you do excellent work they should have no problem paying the increase. If they complain and don’t want to pay it they aren’t worth having as a customer.
