Go and buy the Simple Cherry everyone is talking about to find out there is a $30 minimum and Simple Cherry is $29 hmmmmm I wonder why? So I had to add something I would use so I picked up a $16 gallon of Gutter Grenade. Well I remembered about that soft wash tip Micah was talking about so I wanted to pick one up. Called Pressuretek today around 12pm. He told me the order didn’t ship yet. But I would have to make a new order. And the Tip was below their minimum order of $30. It was $13. I guess he didn’t want to walk a few feet and open the box and add the Tip to it and charge me extra for postage. So Pressuretek you lost a customer.
Then this past weekend I bought a 8 gpm 3000 psi used unit from Pressurewasherproducts for $650. Rex drove 150ish miles to meet up with me and set it up. You can call them 24 hrs 7 days a week for technical support. Great prices and will beat others prices. This is the kind of service I like. Don’t know why I went somewhere else for a product. Won’t do that again.
Check them out they have pretty much anything you need if not they will find it.
Personally i think Bob has always been a cool cat to deal with. Sounds like you got a slammin deal on that pressure washer I almost find it hard to believe.
I guess sometimes a supply house has to have a minimum but if you are up front w/ your customers about shipping I think you could dispense w/ one for the most part. Or at least waive it when someone gets w/in a $1.:eek:
I don’t understand not taking a few minutes to print out another packing list and invoice and then opening a box to put in another part. A few minutes time to make a customer happy is time well spent.
I’m sure positive and negative experiences can be heard about every supplier in every industry. One negative review rarely changes my opinion about anything (and I have no opinion on this specific company/person.)
However…
I can’t believe the lengths Alex and Chris go to to accommodate a world-class customer experience here – contests and events, free shipping and products, video and live phone reviews, etc., etc. etc. – and always a kind word.

I’ve never had a problem with Pressure Tek but I do think the Simple Cherry being $29 is an obvious ploy to make more money and personally I would quit doing it if I were them. It doesn’t bother me that much though because I usually order as much as possible at one time. This Spring I’ll order 60-80 pounds at one shot to save time.
Yeah just wanted to try the stuff out. I would of paid the extra dollar.
The unit its used. It’s a Vangaurd Brigs. 21 Hp with a UDOR 8 gpm 3000 psi. Call him up you never know what they might have. Will take pictures of it in the next couple of days. Waiting a few fittings that will be here tomorrow.
But 8GPM for under $700 ? I’d be willing to pay for freight even when I always try to deal locally to avoid those ridiculous shipping charges. If you know of something like that let me know.

Last year I found a 8gpm hot water rig with low hours on a tandem axle trailer with water tanks and everything in Miami. 28 inch surface cleaner. Even had a udor zeta pump setup that’s used for soft washing and roof cleaning - those rigs go for 2k alone. The guy wanted 4500 for the whole trailer setup. Talk about a STEAL. Too bad I had just bought a hot water rig… I was kicking myself for a while.

Nice bash on Bob…Do you feel better? Bob is a heck of guy that runs a first class business. I have never heard of anyone yelling over the 30.00 min. Bob is just like us…he knows his cost…I have a min. just like 99% of the rest of the contractors on here. Its not his fault you didn’t know what you wanted and forgot part of the order. Sorry but its alot more than opening a box…what about the time to type up a new invoice,time of sending you a email, run the credit card, credit card processing fee, his time, and more … Sorry he runs on very small margins like most Internet business’s. If he says he needs to have a $30.00 min. then that’s that. Don’t come on here and yell about it…either buy from him or go else where. Just like my customers have to do…hire me or hire someone else…but it will cost you this amount for that 5 min. job. Like or Not!!!
Bobs shipping cost are by far number one in pressure washing equipment. He doesn’t make a dime off shipping…What he charges is what it is for shipping.
Suppliers get breaks for using a shipping company. Most suppliers mark up the cost of the retail shipping cost and keep the extra they get from being a shipper. Bob does not do either…he ships at what is quoted to him.
Bob has spent hours educating many guys on how to do things. I really hope you feel better about bashing someone on the Internet site that gets crawled. Its not bob’s fault you didn’t have all your ducks in a row when you made your orders…but lets bash him anyway…First Class!!!
