It seems to me you have a bias yourself. Any time anyone has anything negative to say about the fliq you take issue with it. Iā€™m not sure why you take it personal but no matter. My comments werenā€™t an attack on the fliq. I simply pointed out that he was clearly not going full speed with the traditional tools in comparison with the fliq. To me itā€™s a misrepresentation of both trad tools and the fliq. If you want to take that personal because you have a man crush on Bob and his fliq then by all means donā€™t let me stand in your way. They have great prices on honeymoon packages in the Caribbean this time of year.

Yes I am aware you posted it. It doesnā€™t matter who posted it the point is his videos shows the opposite of Bobā€™s video regardless of weather or not he used the fliq or a wagtail (there both swivel Squeegees and function relatively with the same concept other than the ā€œzero detailā€ which you can filter out watching the video) and he wants to say that it doesnā€™t count because the swivel tool is jot his normal tool of use and yet there is no bias in Bobā€™s video. Thatā€™s ridiculous.

Come on man this is getting silly. Posting keyboard warrior insults and insinuations at each other is showing us both up in a bad light. Itā€™s obvious that we both have our own views on these tools and our biases are always going to be geared to what we use and like as individuals and that actually doesnā€™t mean either of us is wrong in promoting what works for us.

Bobā€™s videos are a fine port of call for anyone considering swivel tools and if someone wanted to be pointed in the direction of wide body channels I wouldnā€™t hesitate to link them to SteveOā€™s channel.

Man crush? Really?

You want my honest opinion on the Fliq? The advantage is that it holds a lot of fluid so can be used on multiple panes before dunkingā€¦the disadvantages areā€¦it holds a lot of water and is heavy so is not suited to use in hand for long periods of time. Itā€™s bulkier than the Wagtail pads so closing out with it mounted under is problematic. Top flip is fine but is really only suited for glass from about waist height and up and when new the pad is so stiff it tends to flip forward when blading.

Iā€™ve worked around my prior Wagtail biases by changing my workflow and am at a point now where I am reasonably happy with it although I personally would love to see a lighter option for in hand work.

Thatā€™s all I was looking for. Letā€™s not dis trad tools to make the fliq look good. I have no problem with the promotion of the fliq at all. If guys like it I have no problem with it at all. I love the idea of it myself and wanted it to work well. I had high hopes for it but was a bit disappointed. That doesnā€™t mean itā€™s a worthless tool or that there is anything wrong with the concept. It has its place. Besides I like a little variety.

I just didnā€™t feel he had to dis traditional tools to promote the fliq. Iā€™m just defending my preference thatā€™s all. It wasnā€™t personal and it still isnā€™t. I just want is to be honest. What works for one guyay not work for another and itā€™s jot always about what works or doesnā€™t. Maybe someone just likes the tool and wants to use it. By all means go for it. I often bust out tools I have in my junk been just for fun.

A little tip for tat doesnā€™t bother me as long as itā€™s jot taken personal. If we dish it out we have to be ready to receive it back. Itā€™s all good.

Letā€™s clean some windows.

So if i understand correctly, Sam, the solution to this argument isā€¦ We need a third type of squeegee to add to the discussion! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Yes. Made of wood. For the REAL traditionalists.

ā€¦and why not. Now, if Wagtail, Unger Ninja and Ettore ever got around a table togetherā€¦ yes, yes I saw the piggies fly past my window as well  , butā€¦

What we need is an Ungerre Sorbidatorā€¦uhā€¦tail.

What the heck hybrid squeegee is that thing!? It looks like a wagtail, Ettore contour pro, Sorbo all rolled into one! Itā€™s a Wagtourbo!

Iā€™ve been a touch obsessed with this for a couple of years now. A very clever Japanese lad called Ryu Kataoka. NInja Channel, Wagtail Disc and Contour Pro handle. Serious surgery involvedā€¦

Looks like a pretty sweet contraption. I was ready for it to transform into a robot into the video.

After watching it again I can see the tension springs. I think Iā€™ve seen one of his videos before where he had the same tension springs installed on a wagtail.

Check his other clips on it. In response to a few of us hammering him he was gracious enough to put together a how toā€¦ some really clever thinking. The fascinating thing is that he designed it around the wide body channel. Hasnā€™t posted on YT or FB for a long time so not sure whether heā€™s still in the industry.

Iā€™ll take a look.

Lol. Pivot in steroids.:joy::joy:
