What exactly is the science behind why some glass is hydrophobic vs hydrophylic?

I’m glad you posted this. I ran across this very interesting yet short article on detecting TN side of the glass when I was lookimg for a link for someone on how to detect tin side. Take a look. It really got my attention. I wonder if there really is a connection that has been right under our noses the whole time.

Here’s another one out out by a glass school. It is jot the same information but a similar connection. It claims the ability to detect tin side by felling the glass surface with your finger tip or hand. It also the tin side is rougher in texture which would also help to confirm the other claim that tin side is more hydrophobic as texture could effect how water molecules react with the surface. Very interesting!
