Plagiarism!

Why don’t you show us the advertisement… Just so we know whats your dealing with… =)

Maybe on the wcra private forum… someday

Did you call your competitor up and just ask what the deal is?

Him and I DO NOT like each other. Really for no reason. I stay away from him. When I get the chance to rip him to a new client I ALWAYS take the high road. I am very friendly with someone else in the business who is on friendly terms with him which is how I got ahold of the piece. It is a blatant rip off. He knows it is and is going around bragging about it, thinking he is pulling a fast one. I think it’s unoriginal and lazy.

If I called him I would lose it and rather than give him the satisfaction I’m going to play it smart. I have protected the company and the time invested in each and every decision. This situation has awakened the angry beast inside me. I was actually going to back off a little this year to keep from having the growth we had last year. Instead I’m putting the pedal down.

I think everyone on this forum thinks I’m an overall tool, a joke. I guess my competitors are thinking the same thing. Unfortunately for them while they have been asleep at the wheel I’ve been working. The only thing they can come up with to try and get a piece of the pie is to copy me. I think it’s flattering but it’s not going to continue.

My lawyer will call him. He has a much better way with words than I do.

Or maybe this is what we think you are:

Jason Bourne: Who am I?
Conklin: You’re U.S. Government property. You’re a malfunctioning $30 million weapon. You’re a total God**** catastrophe, and by God, if it kills me, you’re going to tell me how this happened.

Great idea.

I’ve always thought you were a hard-working business owner, continually looking to grow. That is something to admire

with all the talk about plagiarism, I wondered what ever happened with this, Mr. Clean-Shaven Yankee Fan?

Yeah, I’m talking to you, Maaaaatt Daaaaamonnn!

He went away like a little cowering bug after I swatted him

Details?

It’s uninteresting. He changed his ad but has continued being an idiot. Case closed

I hear what you are saying, but can you show us or at least tell us what the ads say, both yours and his.

Nope.

+1

its a shame this crap has to happen.

People who are starting up come on here to find out what they should copy in order to succeed.
You are here to tell them what you do so they can copy you and get the same results you got.

The next thing they can do is to copy your web site, but that is going too far.
You succeeded and you are the copy model.
They should know better but they are just taking it too far.

Hmmmm, copying washing techniques is very different than copying text or pics.

There is a lot more on here than that. I don’t have a website. If your’s works I might copy the ideas.

That is ok as long as I don’t copy the actual content. The website is about people looking to copy
someone else in order to run a business.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree w/ Merv.
Ideas are one thing but plagiarism is a crime plain and simple. Some may not see the big deal but for many their website is the result of hard work and long hours. It is their intellectual property and should be protected in the same way as any other property.

What do you mean “If your’s works I might copy the ideas”?

All the content IS MY idea, the text, the layout, the links, everything came from MY time and MY hard work, I own it. You lost me?

If I have no idea what to do on the website, I need some ideas. What kind of content am I going to put
on there? What is the structure? What is included and what is excluded? If you don’t want someone to
copy your ideas, don’t present them.
