Paint thinner?

Is it OK or safe to use a paint thinner on tempered glass to remove oil based stain and paint overspray etc… since it’s not coming off with steel wool and we can’t blade?

Call the painters to come back and remove it. A good painter doesn’t get paint all over the glass. LOL

Haha! Good answer

My guess is yes. That’s what the painters do when they have to get paint off the glass. BUT, I have never personally tried it so I do think know if it’s a good idea or not.

We had a very expensive new home we recently did CCU on. Painter didn’t realize the wind had created a lot of overspray on the glass. I refuse to use razors anymore on new construction so he suggested Lacqour Thinner. Worked awesome! Have to be careful whith it, but was the fastest paint removal I’ve ever seen :+1:

Good deal thanks!

Just an update for an old thread, i use paint thinner for silicone, and that works really well.
