Owners of a Transit Connect

I lived in Denver and Aurora, CO. A dry climate and I still had those issues.

This is an awesome site. I used this to help organize my Transit high roof.

I was always wondering what you drove, can you upload a picture of your van set up?

I will be uploading a video on my channel soon. Also drive a Prius, which is a great window cleaning vehicle. Stay tuned.

I’ve driven a Honda Fit for about 2 years for Window Cleaning, also another great vehicle. Thanks I’ll stay tuned!

The guy that bought my business made this video on how he has his transit setup. I think if I ever get back to cleaning windows I would get one. https://youtu.be/KDjAHIlf0F8
He doesn’t show it but has a 4 piece sectional and a Werner 3 section 24’ extension ladder on the ladder rack on top.

I just got a Transit this year… mostly use it for commercial stuff and my F150 is more my resi truck. That’ll probably be changing next season though.

Mine is a Ford E-150 but when you get creative you van utilize a lot of dead space. I am sure you could do the same with the Transit or any Van for that matter. We have an Astro decked out the exact same way ( smaller of course )!

Nice set up, I like the PVC pipes that are holding the squeegees, are they all ettore? I recently decided to stop using all Moerman squeegees and switch to ettore and Unger

Why? I’m new to window cleaning and have used nothing else. Am I missing something? I actually HAVE some Ninja squeegees, but have never pulled them out. Why did you make the switch?

@WDW, ladders inside the van. I LOVE it. I’ve been trying to figure out what I’d do when I switch to a van (probably Transit if enough room to put my ladders inside). ALSO, I see a PW, but no PW hose reels. Where are you keeping your PW hose? Is PWing an ancillary business, with your primary focus on windows?

The PW Reel is just above the PWer. Apparently I didn’t have on the reel for some reason ( Picture was taken years ago ). Power Washing is an Add-on service yes.
Although since 2012 we run that as a totally separate operation. I spun the power washing off and into another separate business and brought on a partner to run that.

I recommend that you establish and get comfortable with window cleaning before expanding into other services. Do that well, build a customer base, gain their trust and then build into your plan add-on services ( Ancillary ! I like that word ). And who said were just a bunch of uneducated - unread laborers ? LOL !!

They start to leave lines as you fan. I’ve noticed on some glass they’re prefect. And on some it streaks everywhere. Great for route work. But on residential I’d suggest an ettore brass ledge eze handle. Really one of the best squeegees I’ve used

Just yesterday I was commiserating that very effect. But I think that the time I save by having the mop on may be greater that the time I would save if I changed, but didn’t need to fix those lines.

However, your answer was actually what I suspected. Because I’m new I figured that it’s just my sloppy technique. WHere’s my buddy Jordie to weigh in on this? @TheWindowCleanse
