New WFP brush time

I have the new FOC duel trim brush (clear) picked up in Dec when first came out. I started taking pictures of the brush after each use 1-5th no bristle damage looked as good as new every time so I stopped documenting after the 5th time using and the quality hasn’t faltered yet. I am looking at the new boars hair brush from Unger for first time clean to try.

Is it me, or does it seem to have less bristles than the black one?

Looks like it has not worn much, good sign… But I’m afraid there might not be enough bristles in there for my liking.

Heres my black brush, after 6 hours… This was in the beta pack

Trashed it, the bristle became very weak and it scrubbed bad… But love it when it was new

Thanks for posting Jason.

The infamous 6 hour brush…Well thats why I posted the question, I dont want to run into the same predicament.I like to know what works tried and true.

Thanks for info bud.

@wcs

Check out the new Nlite boars hair about half way down the page, comes in 2 sizes. This just came out, John Lee has been using it for months and loves it… Its really nice.

@Alex Lacey

Is that a wack adapter?

I also like the the aqua tap idea, the Unger on/off “switch” just didn’t feel right using it. Does that come with all the proper fittings if I got that and wanted it on my WFP? Or do you just attach it in between the hose coming up the pole and the hose that goes to the jets?

Thanks for posting the pic John ok i have a couple question more now, what is the deal with all the different color hoses and purpose especially the one on the left side of the pic that looks like it is coming out from between the aqua tap and wack adapter?

I have been using the IPC Speed Brush with dual jets for about 2 weeks and I am really impressed. Before I had the green unger brush that came with the Nlite pole set up. I hooked up all 4 jets on the IPC to work at the same time and rinsing is very easy. It gets in the corners great and has good scrub. A little expensive compared to others but I am impressed.

Bristles are wet, they group back up in their pods. Bristle count seems to be the same or close to it, and the new one has been holding up well.

wcs: The Beta brushes are marginal in my opinion, and they do not seem to clean into the corners very well. If John Lee likes the nLite Boars Hair then that is probably the ticket.

I tried the FOC clear firm dual brush on my solar panels and the result wasn’t very good. There were still a little dirt on some of the panels in the end.

From the position where I stand below the panels to do the brushing, I can’t lift up the brush head to rinse simply because the pole is not vertical enough to support the weight of the brush. So I just have to spend a lot of time to go over the panels many passes to clean and rinse with the brush touching the panels. I guess it’s similar to cleaning 4th story windows where you can only rinse with the brush resting on the glass. And that’s why you want a firm brush to allow the dirt to escape from the brush. But I guess the FOC clear firm dual brush still didn’t get all the dirt out for me.

I’ve ordered the Unger nLite Solar Radius Brush 11" to try it out on my next cleaning of my solar panels. Will report back to see if it works better or not. At least this brush is supposed to be designed specifically for solar panels, so we’ll see how it fares on my panels next time.

Tucker can’t get any love around here…I still love mine.
Best brush of all time IMO.
Pretty much the staple in my part of town.
Couple friends that tried others were sorry, and went back.

I just ordered the brodex brush that comes with 3 wack adapters, I wanted a single wack adapter… But the singles were sold out?

How is the brodex 10" brush? Hope it’s good since I’ve already ordered it haha

Massive scrubbing power. A bit difficult to use above 2 stories because there’s just so many bristles packed in. No splay. I’d suggest trimming out the middle a bit and drilling some holes and installing some Gardiner low pressure fan jets vertically.
