New start

Good afternoon.

I’ve been cleaning windows for more than 20 years, my dad started me when I was barely a teenager and I’ve had good experiences as well as major FUBARs.

I was convinced, and rightly so, by my family to start again but working for myself. Throughout the years I’ve bought my own tools and most equipment needed for WC. What I needed the most was stacking ladders, which I was able to find a truly unique set. I’ve never seen a set like this. Also these are wider that what I am used to. The ladder is very sturdy and so much lighter than the standard or alacco ladders I’ve used before.

My question is, who makes them? Or where can I find more? 3 6 foot sections are fine but I’m sure I, either, need another 6 foot section or a half section.
Been using stacks for the last 5 years and when I saw these for the price I was stoked. But in my enthusiasm, maybe, I forgot to ask where I can find additional section for those jobs that require a bit more reach.

Any help, comment, or link is greatly appreciated.20181203_170814

  1. List item

They look like metallic brand.

Can I ask, why do you want stacking ladders? I have never understood the attraction.

They are expensive, and a roof rack gives you more options.

Like, why not just get a proper extension ladder???

Yes they are expensive (bought mine I think from ABC OR Windows 101) 6 ft sectional ladder also known as piece ladders in the field. I have the metallic/aluminum ones with leg levelers on them. I’d say yes to getting them as they’re great in situations indoors because you can get through tighter spaces unlike long extension ladders. It also gives you flexibility in situations where you don’t need a 24ft extension ladder and you just need a lift higher than a 2ft ladder can. Basically, this is a tool and sometimes they work in some applications and at other times they don’t. If you can afford it, it just gives you more flexibility out in the field. I’d also suggest another couple items to add on but you can message me directly.

I almost bought those. Nice buy. :sunglasses:

I used extension ladders for almost 15 years. While working outside, on most Xerox homes, they work fine. Most of the house that I’ve been working on the last few years, you dont walk around the house, you hike around. Many have large boulders, and I do mean large, small ravines, very nice but dangerous landscaping, so I have avoided the use of extension ladders.
Also, stacks are so much easier to work with inside a house. No problem bringing them in, no problem setting them up, and I dont have to worry about swinging a 24 foot extension ladder through a hallway fill with family heirlooms.
I dont hold a bias on extension ladders, I just like stacks better.

I saw the link for the ABC cleaning site. Those are the type I’m used to, but they are not these type of stacks. These metallic are SO much lighter than those. I’m not sure why, since they are wider.
I’ve been searching online on many sites but I keep finding the metallic equivalent of alacco and alacco ladders.
While, finally, examining the ladders, one of the previous owners painted the ladders gold, they are originally silver like most metallic ladders, which makes my searching for them even more frustrating.

Please keep sending any links that you may find regarding any type of stacks.

Again, thank for any help, comments or link you may be able to provide.
