New Ettore rubber catching on the glass

About 3 months ago I bought a pack of it because I read that a lot of people loved ettore rubber. It skipped and stuck to the glass for me so I haven’t tried it since. I have it as my last resort pack. I should give it another try I suppose but my favorite is Pulex hard rubber so far. I use it all year long.

Try out Black Diamond hard rubber when you get a chance you my like it. I also use it year round.

Cool. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing what works for you

Yeah I like the new Black Diamond hard rubber. Works well.

Maybe your working with a older batch of ettore rubber, it is the newer batches people are having trouble with.

I’ve had the same problem. And There’s been a few pieces of 36" rubber I’ve cut down that have had bubbles in them I’ve had to recut. I am ready to move to a different brand unless Ettore changes it back to the what ever they were doing before.

From what i understand there seems to be an issue with that brand of rubber lately.

So i thought maybe you where still having good results because you where using a older batch of it.

Im happy you figured out away around it.

I dont use any other rubber besides BD.

No problem here…Used them for 16 years,… same rubber actually.
I don’t think the powder has anything to do with it, unless without the powder they get nicked in packaging. Tried the Black Diamond recently and it worked well enough…nothing to write home about though. Then again, neither are the Ettores’s . Both just do their job.

Can you post a video of you cleaning some residential cut ups? I know you have a helper now, so maybe he can film you. Maybe it is my technique. Anything to help me get faster. I am sure you have a quicker way to clean cut ups. I know I am not that fast.

Thanks man!

Straight pulls with custom-cut channels is the way to go for true-divides, imho. Way less fatigue and room for error.

Bought the BD soft rubbers . Don’t like them . Sorbo to me is still the best out there
