It should be lower than back in the day, with the 3d CAD software and 3D printers available to the public.
I am making my own Bucket On A Belt (B.O.A.B.) out of necessity because of my low start up funds. My simple version is just a plastic tube for the mop, and I am going old school with a hammer loop for the squeegee. However, I do have an idea of my own for a spill-less BOAB for interior work, so I may be rolling out a design of my own. I will wait until this is released before sharing my idea just in case it is similar. I wouldn’t want to spoil this surprise. If my design is different though, then I may pass along my home made prototype design to someone else to market, because while I like to be creative, mass production is not my thing,
Yeah, I got a little disappointed watching two of Kevin’s videos that had Samurai BOAB in the title, but then I never got to see the BOAB in the video. Oh well, I understand why, and I share in the excitement, so it’s all good, and I know I won’t be disappointed when I do get to finally see it,
Great interview guys!
Good luck with this Jared. It is nice to see independent innovators filling the gaps left behind by the existing corporations currently in control of the market share…
Three configurations sounds very interesting. Plus it apparently stops your hip from getting wet. Bigger squeegee and mop accommodation. Custom color schemes possibly. Adjustable strap.
Sounds better than ordinary old BOAB’s. Will have to wait and see.
Yeah, they are fairly cheap, and then you have shipping.
I set an extremely low budget for this startup to challenge myself. I didn’t see the B.O.A.B. as a necessary item to start out with, but did see it as a nice thing to have. So, I spent money on the things that were critical for the job, like the business cards, t-bars/mops, small extension pole, and the squeegees, and decided to craft a few things and recycle a few things too. Just like the mop bucket. Don’t see the need to start out paying $20 or $25 for a proper wc bucket when a $3 cooler bucket will work. I’ll upgrade tools from my earnings, just not starting out with all the bells and whistles.
Everything. Well, they both hold tools, but they do it differently.
Theirs is a soft boab, the samurai is a hard boab. I’m not sure whether or not theirs can hold a 36" ninja or a large mop, but maybe. The samurai is adjustable in height so it’ll sit where you want it to.The samurai is 12" in length, not sure what theirs is. The samurai also has 3 different configurations to help people in their style of work.
