Moerman Excelerator - All New (no longer new)

I haven’t had any problems with this except for when the leading edge has butter peeling off if it… I just pick off the straggler and have had no problems with it.

Angle and pressure…

Keeping even pressure on both ends squeegee Right?

Yep…and we’ve been there right. Issue of course is that as blade gets longer and you pivot, uneven pressure is applied to each end. So, up to 14 (at a stretch 16) is still very workable. From 18" and larger? Back to fixed handle. Time to get this design of yours out there…

Just change the resolution on your camera before taking the picture. Even 2MP should show up big enough and plenty clear. Plus the upload will go way faster.

I usually just take a picture farther away than normal, then crop it down before posting.

Just upload your picture to FB.
Then Copy Properties of picture.
Then paste on here.

Update on my mod after today’s grocery store. Used Black Diamond - Soft rubber, cut to about 1mm outside the end tips.

14" Excelerator + Liquidator 2.0

  • Modification fixed issues with leaving lines/missed solution.
  • I had to apply more pressure on the glass than with my wagtail, to gain performance similar to it or a standard channel.
  • In hand: It wasn’t easy to get it to work well with the pad on. I got absolutely wonderful results with the pad off, in swivel or fixed handle mode (really light and FAST on swivel without pad).
  • On pole: great results with the pad on, even better with the pad off. I still get messy close-outs so I gotta stick with my wagtail disc & handle for pole work…

18" Excelerator + Liquidator

  • Didn’t test much because I got lines/missed solution at the ends, bending the tips back should fix this (had to apply way too much pressure to get even squeegee work.
  • Didn’t get missed solution along the rest of the channel however, which was a usual occurrence for me on both 14" & 18".

After coming home, I swapped my 14" 2.0 channel (with FLIQ pad!) to my wagtail slimline handle, and disc I modified to hold a Liquidator channel. Now I have a dog-eared channel, with a nice pad, on a handle I can close out with! I also bent the tips back to fix pressure requirements I noticed today (I bent them to stock angle for testing, so I reversed it today). Gave it a run down on different windows & a slider after I was done, very pleased with the behavior and results. So now my 14" is running as I want it, now I gotta get my 18" there.

Overall I’d say the modification improved the behavior of the 14" channel, but not completely for the 18" (this may be due to the fact I first bent the tips back on the 14", then reset them to stock to test the mod, possibly making the tips on the 14" more pliable than on the 18").

I got today’s work with it on 4k video, but I have to sort through and edit 46 minutes of it… :disappointed: So it’ll be a while before I get an update video up.

That made a hugely positive difference for me as well.

It’s taken me some getting used to but I’ve got it down now. Little detailing needed if you move a little slower and you don’t splash water all on the sides of the frame.
