Moerman Excelerator - All New (no longer new)

You can try a few things. Get a gliding agent, add more soap, bend the end clamps in the liquidator channel and or try the different rubber. Wagtail ahs razor red last miles longer and I haven’t had that judder problem in a long time. Also, you might want to change your technique to what I call chase the water. Try not to go over your work unless you need to correct a mistake. If you happen to make butcher mark instead of wetting the window again tap 3/4 times. The reason for the 3tap technique is so you can get more water on the glass so it doesn’t grip, it applys also to using it on a pole. This means you only squeegee what you have to. To do this the end of your squeegee needles to be close to the water line as possible. Focus on chasing that water about a centimeter above the water line. You should be fine. Remember, liquidator likes it juicy. Hope this helps.

Basically that the squeegee just kept sticking and stuttering, especially on turns. It wasn’t smooth at all. I was disappointed because i thought a hard rubber would be so great for the hot temperatures.

Incidentally, i found the Pulex hard to be virtually unusable too. Must be something with my technique, since others seem to praise that one too. Either way, no matter what rubber i use, when i pop in a piece of ettore, things are simple and smooth again, every time.

It is.

Try more slip in your solution.

I find ettore is more forgiving

Excelerator Day 2:

Replaced Moerman factory rubber with Black Diamond soft and it made a world of difference. No streaks at the edge, nice performance all day and no burned corners either.

Modded up an Unger pole tip for my Garelick pole instead of the ettore pro+. Held nice and firm so no complaints there.

Closing out above head height with a pole still seems inordinately difficult compared to my Wagtail handle w/Liquidator 1.0 channel. Tried all angle settings, with the pad above the channel, still does not want to hit low once the handle gets on to the frame.

Barring my close-out issues this tool is beginning to grow on me. Makes me almost want to go out and get some work tomorrow, which is Saturday. Almost.

As your closing out on the bottom lift the pole a bit higher and get it to (snap) finish… its like getting the handle and channel in a negative degree position to compensate for the thick bottom of excelerator … I hope you understand stand what I meant Samuel!

Yeah I think so. My height (5’5") makes it harder to get that pole up very high. But I’ll see if I can get it right with practice come Monday.

Extend your pole a little longer then your use to, it might help compensate.

They used to carry the Facelift red rubber here but at the time I think there wasn’t enough interest to keep stocking it

Mayb people are a bit hazited by the price but believe me you, once tried is never going back

I’ve used Razer Red for over 2 years now and the longevity of it is amazing. There are a couple of caveats however. I’ve had less than stellar experience with the14" pack I bought. Actually trashed almost half the pack because of manufacturing anomalies that had me smacking my forhead against a brick wall in frustration. HOWEVER I have never had any issues at all with my 36" sealed packs. In winter in hard water areas on tinted glass it struggles to remove all the water efficiently but in moderate temperatures (slightly cooler weather it helps to use warm water), with good slip added to the water, it is superb and although a touch more expensive, price is negated because of the longevity, particularly in dog eared or Liquidator channels. You’ll find that fresh in one of these channels a slight amount of drag on the tips but after 2 or 3 panes it is excellent.

So I busted out the 18" excelerator for a vigorous workout today off the pole. Until now I have only familiarized myself with the 14", which I really enjoy using.

It seemed the 18" required an unusual amount of pressure in hand to avoid drag lines and rainbows from the blade’s edge. Anyone have this issue?

I was using BD soft rubber and it was about 75° outside, BTW.
