Moerman Excelerator - All New (no longer new)

the handle is pretty good, it’s massive compare to most other handles, when i switch back to an unger ergo tech it feels tiny. the excellerator has a little more play in it than i’d like but i understand you can’t make something with so many joints without any give. i like using it (with the pad) a lot on jobs where i only need to mop, usually monthly storefronts or some quarterly residential, or most residential insides.

I love it. Makes my pole work a lot easier ! I have just found that my wag closes out better on the bottom of a frame bc of the angle. With the excelerator you have to lift the pole up more for a perfect close out. This can be difficult bc I am shorter than you guys. I have tried with the angle adapter and using it on the 45 degree angle. I just need more practice to find the right method. Took me a while with my wag as well! Overall I give it 4out of 5 stars

Lovely simply lovely other than the fragile plastic.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Im happy Im not the only one thats feels like it has a little to much play, Im use to a solid feeling tool it hard to adjust to the play in the handle.

I guess it will just take me a little longer to over come this issue.

Ya that bottom plate it to thick for sure, but as you said you just got to raise the pole a bit. I just dislike to have to change my style its kinda of frustrating.

Exactly. I got used to my wag closing out nicely. Wonder if this is something we will see in a 2.0 version

Close out on deeper box frames…(the only frames that can cause close out ‘stutters’), pad on top and angle set at 40°. Stand a touch closer to the glass that normal. …OR close out o the side, top edge of the blade angled towards frame on final stroke. Slide blade against side frame and lift off immediately to avoid pad contact with glass. Takes a bit of practice but I find it better than the stretch contortion required for high bottom close outs.

Thats the advice that Luke mentioned in the Q & A , and he did mentioned it in a conversation were where having.

Thanks for bring it up again.

My Moer-Tail, Wag-Moer or Wag-Man. Stuck a wagtail slimline/PC channel in my excelorator handle. What do you think @luke3636 ? Rubber no longer slides around. Channel moves a little; just need more duct tape.

That’s awesome let me know he it does !

Update on the excelerator… it was the angle of the rubber to the glass, its amazing what one step forward or backward will do for you…

I was so use to the angle from using the unger zero degree for so long, had to adapt a new stance/body positioning…

Close out are still a pain, but i got the work around so it all good so for now!

Was thinking of doing the same with both. I’m going to work on that as well. Great job.:+1:

Any chance of posting a better photo of the channel. I appears that the clip is almost flush with the rubber edge…or is that just the angle the photo was taken. Soap up the glass and do some straight pulls and try and dial in your angle. Doesn’t matter what you have the handle set at. The important thing is getting the rubber to glass angle correct…

What brand of rubber are you using that channel?

I regards to the brass channel and putting the metal clips on the rubber and inserting it into the channel what issues were you having?

I just bought an 18 and fitted rubber 10-pack. Stoked to try it out.

It almost has to be an issue of angle and pressure, unless the channel or rubber is somehow damaged. @anon35812390 gives good advice with his suggestion.
