I can really see using this tool exclusively. I had the same hopes for the wagtail before I bought it but it just didn’t deliver.
I also bought the first liquidator with the handle and everything and I didn’t like it either. It’s been sitting with the wagtail.
They really improved the quality of the handle with this one and I love the swivel and lock option along with the adjustable squeegee angle. They really thought of everything on this one…well almost everything. There is one thing they could add to the awesomeness that would make this tool the ultimate all around work horse but I will keep that detail to myself for now. I will be doing some tweaking in hopes to make it perfect. If it works I may share the modification.
The only thing I would change other than what I plan to add would be the plastic attachments for the pad to attach to the squeegee. I like the design I’m just not sure how long they will last. Also as great as the squeegee angle adjustment is it works with thin plastic ridges that look like they might wear out pretty quick if you adjust it often. Time will tell how long those features will last. I like the design I just have my doubts about how long it will last.
I was thinking the same thing about the snaps. I bought two handles so I just leave each at different angles. Prob buying another one Monday just to have three in case something awful happens. Haven’t dropped them yet so I’m wondering how they will hold up.
Thats what I did for a 10" setup, minus the handle. I got the 14" & 18" and parts to complete a 10".
I did an old house yesterday (pulled/strained/compressed a lower back-rib muscle in the process) with sash & cord windows around, all original “water” glass too. Now naturally you’ll wanna use a standard channel with soft rubber for old water glass and storms… but I used my new toy anyhow! The pivot/lock AND angle adjust all in one handle is just amazing when dealing with old houses. I’m going to take one of my old liquidator (original) channels and cut it down for small cut ups to use with the excelerator handle.
