Miracle gro hose

What do guys think of this as a backup hose for washing screens if the customer doesn’t have one handy?

I want something that could easily fit in a bucket so i can keep it in my truck tool box.

Also considering trying @Infinity’s idea of using air hose and adding the garden hose fittings. Is that easy to do without leakage problems?

I carry 3 pocket hoses at all times in the truck. Two 75’ units and one 50’.

They come in real handy for hooking up my Aztec and Xero with plenty of length to get around big houses and condos.

Get the kind with brass fittings if you can

I like the black ones they sell at HD or bed bath with the brass ends

Yeah I use one. They wouldn’t do good as a regular hose because it’s just flimsy tubing and will break but for sticking in a bucket for occasional use they’re great.

Yeah that was my misgiving with most pocket hoses I’ve seen… seems the durability is lacking.

…i wonder why no one’s managed to make a quality one yet. It seems like everyone loves the concept. If someone could design one that lasts and has decent pressure it would be wildly successful.

Sam, i think you’re onto something. Imagine how fast you could clean screens with those!

Now where can i buy those?

Then again, maybe they have so many backups on the shelf cause even those break. :pensive:

Maybe they are being hoarded due to awesomeness and high demand.

Hmm… I hadn’t even considered that option, Ken. Will be researching it immediately. Thanks!

You could offer a whole house wash with that and be done in a few minutes.

This one looks even better:

comepletely inappropriate, from their description:
When used on or around asphalt or pavement, care must be taken to minimize damage by abrasion or pin-holing may occur.
might as well use xhose, expensive and weak.

I noticed that too. Intriguing concept though…

I didn’t see the description. The first link is perfect though.

It would definitely take up less space in the vehicle.

@JaredAI How do you think using a smaller diameter hose (1/2" or maybe even 3/8" ) would affect the functionality of the Aztec screen washer?

It shouldn’t matter. I only ship it with a couple holes in the tubing so the supply hose size probably wouldn’t matter. Unless you punch several more holes in the tubing then you might need more water.
