Whether you choose a preassembled kit or put one together of your own doing, the basic tools you will need:
BOAB w/belt (bucket on a belt)
6"/12"/14"/18"/21" squeegee
10"/14"/16" scrubber and T-Handles
Extension poles
Razor scraper (Use judiciously)
0000 steel wool, or better, brass wool
Magic Eraser
3 gal or 6 gal window cleaners bucket
*Yes, you can use a 5 gal round bucket, but a rectangular window cleaners bucket fits your scrubbers better
Soap (Dawn is fine, specific window cleaning soaps work great too, so join the fight!)
Step stool (3 step at least)
Ladders
White 3M scrub pads (The green pads will scratch glass)
Screen tool (Paint can opener works well too)
Huck towels or surgical towels for detailing
Large bath towels to protect whatever is under you working indoors
That will pretty much take care of 99% of you run across. Your pre made kit or one you assemble may have even more. Have fun and earn a living!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure we’ve got some native american blood somewhere in our line because I can only grow a mustache and goat. When I tried to grow a beard, I looked like one of those semi-hairless rat dogs. The natives of northern NM can’t grow facial hair for nothing.
One Navajo I was working with had one long hair on his chin and I asked him how come he didn’t pluck it. He said it was because the ladies would start playing with that hair and then would be all over him. Mind you, he was a heavy drinker so he was probably drunk that day. Another guy I worked with looked like a catfish with his mustache…
Yeah the American native facial and body hair seems to run pretty sparse. Partly culture but mostly genetic, from what I gather.
My own genetic stock includes a good bit of the Eastern Mediterranean lines. Greeks, Turks, Romanians and Kazakhs. I can make dreadlocks in my leg hair.

I’m new to this too, but I found a Husky tool “apron” at Home Depot that has three big pouches, two loops on either side for a squeegee and scrubber, and comes with a belt sewn in. I just wear it behind my back so it doesn’t get hung up on a ladder or touch the glass when I reaching overhead. It was maybe $8. I grabbed a spring clamp for hanging dirty towels over, can stuff a bunch of clean towels, bronze wool, etc into the pouches. The pouch is big enough to hold a zep spray bottle if you’re inclined to carry one. It works for me. The only downside is that the scrubber is exposed and will leave a wet spot on your shirt.
