Liquidator + Rubbber

Since I started to use Ettore rubber in my liquidator channels my problems is solved.
When I get streaks nowadays I have noticed it depends that I don’t have the correct angle to the glass.

I cut my rubber when I have it in the channel.
Use a very good and sharp scissor.

Yep. Razer Red does not like the cold weather. I always shelve it down here in Dunedin for the winter. Ironically it can be a real PITA in really hot weather as well. Gets a ‘sticky’ feel to it. Ettore works really well in the Liquidator channels. I’m running it in my ‘go to’ 14" … good glide and longevity. I cut as I was taught 30+ years ago. Sharp blade and tap with a hammer…the angles can be trimmed once the rubber is in the channel.

Water expands as it freezes into ice.

Just about everything else contracts, shrinks and becomes more dense and firm as the constituent molecules slow their movement.

I tend to soak my Red Razor rubber in hot water for 5 mins when the weather is cold,it definitely helps.

moerman soft rubber is amongst the cheapest out there, especially if you buy it in the bulk packs. you use it for a day or 2 at the max then change out. i was buying it for my workers a few years running and never had a prob as long as they changed it out every day or so [change it Before it has its problem is the key]
then i reverted to buying Wagtail rubber after being given a roll of the black by willie himself … its amongst the most expensive to buy BUT also is very long lasting. a rubber can last 2 weeks and thats with it cleaning a real hogs load of glass too . cost wise i find its better to buy wagtail over the moerman if youve a crew

Does wagtail rubber have the same tongue length as Moerman (and Ettore and Pulex)? Or is it shorter like Unger and Black Diamond?

its the same

I have only used Moerman soft for my Liquidator and the only time I have streaking is from not having the proper angle and pressure on the squeegee and/or turning too sharp of a corner. An easy fix has been to have the glass super wet.

I am in Alaska and have had no streaks with the Moerman soft when using vinegar with a temperature of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or in the teens with Waxie Liquid Squeegee.

Edit: Here is the 16 degree Fahrenheit cleaning using Waxie Liquid Squeegee and 25-35% windshield washer fluid (methyl alcohol). The glass was wet enough that I was able to divebomb with sharp angles instead of wagging from side to side.

This video of the interior cleaning was shot within a few minutes of the exterior one. The temperature inside was about 73-75 Fahrenheit and I was using the same Waxie Liquid Squeegee with 25-35% windshield washer fluid and Moerman soft rubber on my Liquidator. No streaking inside or outside, I just kept the glass really, really wet.

I was waiting for that forceful flick you did in the first video. That would have been hilarious. Thanks for sharing, btw

All incriminating evidence of the flick may or may not have been deleted

…to get rid of the Liquidator and use a normal (read: tried and true) squeegee.

Naah, I don’t know how to use normal squeegees.
