Liquidator Issues

Interesting point

I never thought to read this thread before buying the Excelerator; I just watched Luke’s videos and said “Ok, I’m getting one as soon as their back in stock”. Mine came in the mail today, and Alex L. was very helpful getting my order right as I turned ADD/OCD and switched channel sizes. Figured this would be a great pole tool, so bought the 18".

I have a wagtail handle with an 18" brass channel, and love it, but the Excelerator is a bit tricky. As some had mentioned before, the end clips protrude, forcing me to apply extra pressure to get all of the rubber on the glass. I can get used to this, but the main problem I’m having in conjunction with extra pressure is making turns when the end of my channel is on dry glass. It sticks and pulls out a quarter inch or so and things get messy. I read in a previous post about fastening the ends with zip ties, but does that keep the sharp part of the rubber from pulling out?

Yes it keeps it from pulling out.

Yes it keeps it from pulling out. But remember liquidator likes it juicy, well lubricated. Also try to concentrate more on not going over dry parts of the window and more on a technique I call chase the water. Where ever you squeegee make sure your about a centimeter to an inch above the water line. You shouldn’t get that blade chatter.

Right on Marcus. It felt super weird with a fresh rubber, but after a half hour of practice on my slider, it’s working well. It’s better when i cut in from the middle, but wetting just the middle of my slider made it hard to turn the squeegee. There’s also so much going on that I’m afraid something is going to break on a day I have to run hard on my tools.

I kind of want to make an aluminum hybrid between the wag and the excelerator.

Hmmm. Sounds interesting. Sometime I would like to clash concepts. I’ll be working on my new future handle that I would like to see made. Herman is already ahead of the game. Moerman needs to work with him. Trying to think of a cost effective version. Guy from Moerman has already lost money due to his new handle with many prototypes. He’s tapped out right now. But I want things as easy as pie cause I’m getting old and so far, Guy and Bob is on the right track.

It you look at polnz blade technique he does the same thing to get the rubber well lubricated.

If its crap I understand. But never seen such a thing. Who made it by the way?

I have the 10, 14 and 18" and by far my favourite on a longer pole is the 10" really nimble and easy to control. The 14" is good for larger glass. The 18" I’m really ambivalent about. With a wet pad and less than nimble blading…you never quite feel in control. In all honesty I could never get on with an 18" Wagtail either. I found the max sweet spot for pivot was 16"

No sure…it has and italicised P on it. Available in black also. I thought it was Pulex when I ordered it but obviously not…

Orderedb from where? Just curious.

Oh, I’m in New Zealand. Ordered it off a supplier from our North Island…

Oh ok. Very sexy anyway.

Like you said looks are deceiving😯

Ok. Good night all. Have to get my growl on. Early day for diners tomorrow. Nighty night.

Love the color anyway. My favorite. That’s why I think I’m drawn to Moerman lol.

what is a “slider” ?

OG folks here call sliding glass doors “sliders”. Not the small burger, lol.

I know this is a debate but for me it helped by heating up the endclips and bent it just a little, little backwards.
Then I don’t need much pressure at the glass at all.

Yep. Cold weather shrinkage is an issue men have been dealing with since Adam!
