Liquidator Issues

Today’s Excelerator Discovery: To flip pad from bottom to top and vice versa, don’t remove FLIQ Clips, but pop the pad OFF the FLIQ clips. Closing out was a dream after that. That pad is just too stiff to close out with it on the bottom.

Also, make sure the tops of those FLIQs are snapped over the tiny ridge on the channel top.

No the zero degree has tighter close out.

I have been using it over not under. Over the pad doesn’t seem to get in the way that much.

Correct, the clips once on, are permanent. When I first got mine I was swearing and cursing taking the end clips off so that I could slide the Fliq clips on… duh… only found out later that you could simply snap them on…

I use it over for deep frames and anything where close out is above waist level. Under for shallow frames as then the pad clears fine and generally in hand, lose the pad and revert to scrubber in other hand. I find the pad is too heavy for constant in hand use.

I did the same thing. Finally had to Google

so do the clips fit most channels?

Sure… but not properly or cleanly. Designed to snap into the groove on Liquidator 2 channel and then lock over the small groove along the leading edge…so DIY required for non Moerman channels and/or the clips.

Do you have a pic available of this. Thanks

I’ve modified this for my pole model now. Much tidier. Check the top pic. There is a little ridge on the top jaw that is dead centre. Bottom pic’s show…one small piece of gaffa tape on channel dead centre. I used white for these photos but I normally have black. This allows the jaw to ‘bite’ into the soft tape and ‘stick’. Goes absolutely nowhere. Make sure you use the waterproof industrial gaffa tape…

Great Eric!
I would say that tape is a must. The handle moves otherwise very easily.
And also the paper clips (or whatever you clip you want) is also essential.
I’ve guess this will be adjust to the next version

I’ve just started using clip retention in the last week. Should have been doing it months ago. I have a pack of zip ties and a pair of snips in the glovebox. Slide a zip tie in between rubber and clip and then snip off. Really firms everything up and on even the quick steep turns the rubber continues to behave.

I’m using the Unger Green clips - the clips that no one really understand the use of and just collected dust in the shelf

Fix everything, just like duct tape!

Not to be a pain, but could you make a picture of this please? Having a hard time visualizing what this means… thanks.

You can use short bits cut from paper clips as well…

I love that. Going to try it. Thanks for asking @OPM. I was having trouble visualizing too.

Can also do this with other squeegee channels.
