Liquidator Issues

On the contrary! Thank you for saving me from experiencing an unnecessary head ache. :sunglasses:

They call it learning from other people’s mistakes. Sorry for your pain, but thank you.

My Ettore pole tips are like a hotdog-in-a-hallway with the Excelerator handle. The Unger pole tips fit best, and the button pops into the lower hole, but is loose fitting, and eventually pops out.

Maybe the fixed handle is different.

years ago when i was learning how to integrate computers into my old photo business i was on the phone with my tech and after some time he said “it seems to be an interface issue between the keyboard and the floor”. took me a moment to figure out what he meant…but he was right!

How do we modify the handles so they fit on our non Moerman poles? Geez

Does Bob Hat know they only fit on Moerman poles?

I have the fliq handle and it fits great. Maybe your tip is worn down. The spring loaded pin on the Ettore fits perfect with the upper hole in the handle and the Unger tip lines up with the lower hole on the back side of the handle. I don’t have any issues with either one fitting the handle.

I finally coughed up the $ to buy a Moerman pole. My Liquidator handle does not fit on my Unger or Ettore poles.

I have Ettore swivel washers and will stick with them because Moerman doesn’t have swivel washers. My Moerman pole works fine with the Ettore washers and my Unger Ninja.

I have a cheap big box (Lowes) version of an Ettore pole, The excelerator handle fits nicely. Also have an Unger Crank adapter with a green Unger tip, The handle clicks right onto thhe tip (the hole on the underside of the handle.

Moerman tip, Unger ERGOTEC Tip (the green one) Unger standard tip (green) and standard Morse tip configuration or adaptor all OK. Apparently there are others as well but these are the ones I have.

Ettore Gold pole tip, Sorbo (with rubber rings) and smaller Unger blue tips NO.

Wagtail angle adaptor with a couple of wraps of gaffa tape, YES. Wagtail Erkenomic tip NO

When and if you decide to go down the Moerman handle route just tag one or two of their tips to your order, cheap as chips. They are a straight plug retro fit to most of the Aluminium poles out there and all your other tools will fit on them.

my blue one works for me, i put it on and then push down with a twist and it’s on good, though i should say it doesn’t stay on as well on the 12 foot pole as the 8 ft pole.

after 6 months of using a liquidator as my main, i admitted defeat. sure i got good results but it simply was not a joy to use. i gave it my best shot . it reminded me of using a quill pen over the biro. the dipping in the inkpot was a nuisance altho the letters looked lovely

Interesting perspective. Was that because it required constant fiddling or because the technique adaptation was a pain?

i had been used to not having to look closely [with a wagtail] instead using liquidator i found if i didnt concentrate the tips of the liquidator juddered down frame edge or if i pressed too lightly it skipped . i reverted back to using wagtail and it felt like id rediscovered a faithful friend

i found i was smiling while squeegeeing and have been ever since

iv been thinking , is that wise?

if a small wheel could be incorporated into the tip ends then the problem of the tips snagging on the frame may be eliminated

No Jonny …

that wheel would still get caught as it would be very small and ANOTHER thing to go wrong.

Or ball bearing

If the wheel got caught it would only be cause you’re using it wrong.
