Liquidator Issues

Fiddling with a stupid tool for months is inefficient lol.

  1. He knows how to handle the tool.

  2. I had to detail the middle of the window because the rubber ends would burn out fast, I would not call this zero detail.

  3. Two straight pulls on narrow windows is faster, less strokes than dive bombing edges and the hang gliding.

Yes, lol . I have been using an aluminum Ettore channel recently. I am liking the light weight.

I’ve got one in the mail.

Awesome, I have been using the contour pro+ handle with it. I was getting tired of the weight of the brass. I will probably buy more Ettore aluminum channels.

IF you can’t get the Liquidator Channel working with the clips and YES I will continue to call it a user issue, why buy an Ettore Aluminium channel? Why not take the damn clips off and use it as a standard channel.
This does and has always worked for me. Users on YouTube consistently demonstrate that it works for them, sans modification. Unfortunately the tool won’t compensate for ‘glaring error’ in the user.
Can’t get it to work? Back to status quo, easy.

It fits both the Ettore and the Unger locking poles. If you notice it has holes in different places on both side of the handle. One side lines up with the Ettore tip and the other side the Unger.

I just tried to use an Ettore clip in the Liquidator but it didn’t fit. I don’t have any unger clips. All dog eared channels put more pressure on the tips causing them to wear out faster. This seems like a fact, not user error.

Cause I want to see how much it weighs compared to brass.

Are you saying the streaking is my fault?

Correct. That is fact. Happened with my DIY Wagtail dog ears as well but that’s neither a fault or user error, merely a fact that can be minimised with light touch and appropriate choice of rubber. Remember the Moerman Soft is formulated for European glass, frames and climate.

It’s much lighter although a different profile. If the rubber is not faulty? then yes user/technique error.

Yes it did Mike but is not telling that Bob has ditched all of his mods and uses exclusively his Liquidators (even off camera)

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

No you haven’t, there has been so many different post about all these issues.

I kinda gets redundant.

Some times the tried and true is the best way to go.

Nah. You probably took the red one instead of the blue one Neo.

This is what really makes me sickest of all. Performance issues? Blame the user. That’s like something Microsoft would do.

  1. Pin rubber at clips
  2. Dial in the angle, the rubber edge to glass angle, not the handle angle. You know you have it right when the rubber glides as if on ball bearings.
  3. Slip, slip slip, wet, wet, wet…
  4. No other mods needed or required… end of story…

I own (or have made) 6,8,10,12,14,16,18,22 in either V1 or V2, or both versions and have never had issues in hand, on pole, with Wag handle and Flipper pad or Fliq pad, on any Moerman handle, Excelerator or Ettore Contour Pro.

Now, life is actually quite short. This isn’t rocket science so the idea is to simply try them. Dont like them or get on with them, fine, I’ve said it before go back to what you feel comfortable with. I think its actually a waste of time arguing and pontificating over whether it’s badly designed or flawed when their are many out there who can and do have them performing as advertised and demonstrated. I and others have explained ad infinitum what is required and happy to help those that want help. Simply haven’t got the time or energy continue batting my head against a brick wall…

So guys, balls in your court. Use 'em, or bin 'em

I’d like to apologize for wasting everyone’s time with my belly aching over these same, tired complaints.

I am apparently incapable of making Moerman’s wonder tool work in its factory form, and I’m unwilling to fuss anymore with mods and non-factory “fixes” to remedy my issues.

My problem, not yours. :+1:
