Liquidator 2.0 Poll

How well has the new Liquidator 2.0 worked out for you? Have you modified yours or “tweaked” it in any way? If you bought one, please vote below. And don’t vote if you only have the 1.0 cause we all know that version was perfect.

  • Works great out of the box; no modification necessary.
  • Needed modding or “fine tuning” to get it up to spec. Once dialed in, it works great.
  • Bought it, tried it, binned it.

Is the 1.0 really better than the 2.0?

Sam i think there should also be a “use it as is and deal with issues” option.

I think he was being sarcastic.

Let’s say for now that falls into the same category as those who needed to tweak it a bit. Not perfect, but usable with some adjustment.

@Samuel
Been thinking about this and there’s one thing possibly responsible.

If the size channel is too big, each stroke will remove too much solution. Everything may be set up correctly but this one detail derails.

I have found I’d i normally use an 18, use a LQ12. If i normally use a 12, use an LQ8.

It still doesn’t change the fact that you shouldn’t have to. But we live in reality.

Is this a popular vote or an electoral style vote?

I wonder if the users in climates similar to England and Belgium have better results with unmodified than the hot weather users?

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I have been wondering the same thing. By my recollection, my results have actually degraded since clearing the initial hump of unfamiliarity. The local weather has warmed up considerably in that time period, so I suppose it’s not outside the realms of possibility that some heat expansion in the aluminum, plastic and rubber would alter the precise geometry enough to affect real-world performance.

I live in the U.K. and I prefer the 1.0 over the 2.0

I’m a touch ambivalent. I can use either quite happily maybe fractionally prefer the 1.00, maybe…but the security of the snap on of the 2.00 to the channel is exactly what was needed. The 1.00 has a slightly steeper ‘dog’ but is using a softer plastic so has a touch more ‘give’ in it. The 2.00, having a fractionally shallower ‘dog’ and made of a harder plastic SHOULD be easier for newbies to get their head around.
