Those big ones with the arch along the side are left. The other guys only did the front. No idea why they would say they couldn’t do it and then apparently round up enough guys for two vans but then only do the front.

I did try but i have no experience with the 30’… only like a normal 2-section pole. I was using the excelerator, but couldn’t even get the mop to flip, plus i was working in the street, which wasn’t too great. Add to it that the windows are really bad and i thought i should forget the pole and get nose to glass. Thanks for the encouragement though… I suppose i should have tried sevens before giving up on the pole (just not sure even the pole will reach farther down the road as it’s a hill and i was barely getting the top as it was.)

Thanks everyone for your awesome suggestions. I’m gonna get those leg levelers on my stack ladder tonight and do an emergency practice session with it. It looks like that’s what the other company uses so it must be possible. Then I can avoid putting a ladder in the road. I’ll bring my big pole again too and try @whatapane’s advice. I gotta practice the high up poling sometime, afterall. I only have one long pole so I’ll have to switch back and forth which sucks, but at least i have glass gleam.

Oh, and it’s supposed to snow now too.

So i binge watched @Dangerous’ videos this afternoon and tried practicing stacking and unstacking. Omg i hate these sectional ladders so much you have no idea. Three pieces i can do consistently. Four… Well let’s just say four has been less than successful. How the HECK did people ever do five or more??? Am i doomed to being a crappy window cleaner if I can’t get the hang of these stupid things?

Nope, just horrible at stacking stack ladders, it just take practice like everything else.

Is it possible to cheat and connect them on the ground and walk them up in a pinch? I just need them to work tomorrow, weather permitting.

no reason but i suppose you should make sure to plant the bottom ends into the the corner where the building meet the ground so you don’t accidentally seperate any joins. once it’s upright then move the base back.
don’t forget to order your wfp

Im not sure. Maybe @Infinity or @Streakerfree can help. Did your stack set come with locking pin’s ?

It’s gonna be iffy to set a ladder on that framework. Also, hope you have leg levelers.

It is iffy but doable i believe, they should be structurally sound.

Yeah if you’re going to do that, you definitely need to use the locking pins.

Edit: But I wouldn’t do it.

They’re always doable until you hear that awful dreadful sound.

Yes, but it defeats the whole purpose of stacks.

When I first got into window cleaning, a friend lent me a set and that’s how he set them up, because no one showed him how they worked. He just heard that sectionals were what window cleaners used.

This was in the days before dangerous dave’s videos, cable internet, or locking pins.

I kinda don’t think it’s a good idea! Ya have to know what you’re doing or it isn’t safe to set sectionals up at an angle on uneven ground. You sound very unsure of yourself and not confident. Probably because you have no idea what you’re doing. Not trying to insult anybody here but the situation doesn’t sound safe to me.

I’m a big fan of sectional ladders they are basically all I have ever used. Please don’t get yourself killed. That’s right killed.

Geez
The word “iffy” doesn’t sound like we’re talking about a safe situation at all.

Sectional Ladders
Made for window cleaning professionals

Set the tip in the top half of the window and the ladder at an angle.
He could increase the angle and be even closer to his work and not have to reach to his right as far. I’m almost always set at an angle, not square with the building, with the tip caught solidly on a corner.
