Bar Keepers Foam is a real help with dirty windows.
Spray on brush and scrub rinse
Also the 1957 way from the Tucker people was 1/2 window bottom 1/2 window top
then all the way down and up.Go back to rinse from the top going across and you can tip the brush and leave on end on the window. If you can stay away from cleaning the frames on homes on the second level.
