Hello, I am wondering if anyone is doing route business with SAF Management Group from Rockville NY? They are not paying their invoices, nor are they returning calls or emails any longer.

Old thread bump-- This company IS still in business and sound like they should be avoided. I was doing a couple small monthly window jobs for them for 2 years until there was a change in frequency in service. They changed what they wanted done, I adjusted the price and they canceled service. That’s fine, that’s just business, but now they wont pay 3 past due invoices and won’t respond to phone or email.
I would strongly suggest not doing business for these guys! They are very unprofessional and act rather shady if they just refuse to pay for service that was provided with their approval.
I got a call from Scott Sabety at SAF Mgt today for some retail store cleaning jobs. He seemed like a nice, friendly fellow and I was willing to quote the jobs. However, I always like to vet businesses online this way:
- Are they registered with their Secretary of State? If not, sketchy.
- Do they have a website? If not, sketchy.
- Is their email URL a free account like gmail, yahoo, hotmail ? If so, sketchy.
SAF Mgt Group is 3 for 3 on the sketchy side according to my checklist. Then I found this thread and decided definitely NO.
If anyone wants the contact info I got today, reply back and I’ll pass it along. It’s so obnoxious that this company has stiffed at least 2 subcontractors. Let’s all hope karma does its thing.
p.s. It’s super easy to search any sec’y of state business registration free and fast - just google the “(fill in the state) secretary of state business search.”
