Lift kit installed - Only did 1.5" in the front and AirLift ‘helper’ springs in the back (to stiffen it up for towing and carrying the cargo rack), but along with the larger than stock tires I went from 5.1" of ground clearance to roughly 7.4". More than the new Rav4 or CR-V
The two receivers are for the carrying rack for the snowblower.
Also had the vehicle undercoated while it was in the shop. Not going to make the same mistakes as I did with the Toaster, like letting it rust out from under us!
I’m getting such a kick out of how everyone calls these cars “trucks”. Even the mechanic caught himself saying it in his voicemail: “just calling to let you know your truck… err, rig is all done here…”
Tundras all the way. Best truck on the road in my opinion. Toyota has AWESOME customer service. They always rolled out the red carpet for me everytime and even washed my truck each visit for free.
This one’s more for fun than anything. It’s a Unity Mfg. spotlight - the kind you see on police cars. I picked it up for a song on Amazon Prime.
A favorite pastime of the Mrs and I are nighttime nature drives. We’ll go out on the backroads and try and spot different wildlife. This oughta make those drives a little more interesting
Thanks for attaching pics. This is giving me some good ideas for how I could my brother with his business. Are there still tax write offs for car wraps?
Im thinking of getting one of these carriers, but it seems iffy with no wheels. How much weight can one of these things hold? Can i safely carrier a pressure washer on one?
Depends on the pressure washer. With the two beam setup, plus the spring stiffeners, I feel comfortable carrying 250-300 lbs or so. So more than adequate for a medium sized direct or gear drive machine.
But a trailer provides a lot more flexibility, like having space for a buffer tank, hose reels, etc. Plus, it will ride nicer without all that weight on the back.
Oh, the possibilities. I’m semi-seriously considering pulling the seats out of 4-slice and going back to a similar setup as I had in the Little Toaster.
