How do you email estimates/invoices?

i use word to design my estimates/invoices. if you fill in the customers info and prices it does not look good because it moves around what you already have written. then i would have to save the document on my computer and email it. is there some program you guys are using to do this? thanks!

Have you tried Notepad or Wordpad (I’m guessing you use a PC not Mac.)

Less formatting is built in, perhaps allowing the copy-and-paste requirement you seek.

Some email programs have advanced text editors, allowing the WYSIWYG formatting you desire. What do you use?

i use gmail, does that have the advanced text editor?

If you use Quick Books you can e-mail your invoices. Go to customer center, use register, open invoice and find the Mail icon at the top to send. We do this for a few customers that want to go paperless.

I use TCF, and use the HTML edit to make my own template in the look and style of my own website (well i used someone else’s original template from here and edited it to look like my own).

So the estimates go out as a html template via the email system on TCF.

The invoices go out as the template ive selected.

Really easy to use once it’s set up the way you want it.

Quickbooks. Starting with the 2013 version will allow you to actually create an estimate and then e-mail it. Once accepted you can with one click change the estimate to an invoice and use it to collect from the customer once the job is done.

I have most of my documents in Microsoft Word as I’ve a few nice templates setup there - - to e-mail I have a program that allows me to print to a .pdf file.

The pdf looks as good on the screen as the original word file, but its compatible across more platforms & devices - and its also protected against editing,…

PDF’s can be edited even if you think they are locked. My wife can do it and so can the customer that did it to me a few weeks ago. I caught it and made sure they did not change anything important. They did edit their name only. Everything else was just as I had sent it.

You can password protect a pdf against editing if you want,…

Does anyone know how to pass code a PDF estimate in Quickbooks? Can it be done?

So now it is 2014 not 2008, what are the best options for good quality invoicing?

Is there a quality and steady way to do invoicing with out having to pay so much?

I have the Microsoft package and I was considering pay pals free invoicing.

Quick books is still KING in my book

Thinking about it more clearly, going to create my documents using one of the Microsoft applications, keep it all organized on my computer with folders, and have it backed up in the cloud. This may be useful for those who are in the same boat as me and trying to save on start up costs the best you can.

Does anyone have a program/technology that allows them to send all of their invoices automatically? I know how to email individual invoices, but I’m looking to get all of my recurring customers on a system of e-invoices that I don’t have to manually interfere with…manually sending out hundreds of individual emails each month wouldn’t exactly be time saving. I’m researching various software programs but they’re unclear as to how much will actually be automated. I currently use QuickBooks but I don’t have the most recent edition.

There are a few programs that I believe can do batch invoicing.

How it works with Jobber, is you click the Batch Invoice button, select all the ones you want to email and it will batch send them out. If you want you can combine multiple jobs into one invoice at the same step before batch emailing the invoices out. It will show you which invoices are late incase you want to resend those invoices as well.
