Housecall w/ Responsibid

@Brian_C So, as a big proponent of HouseCall and a Responsibid user, how are you using them together. I really like the style of email follow ups that Responsibid has over HouseCall but I love HouseCall’s scheduling and day of service communications and time tracking. For example following up 6 months later on a bid that I lost. Or having an email follow up tied to a specific service vs just a specific customer with HouseCall. I don’t want to do double entry of customer info or of services and date of service.

Anyway, if this makes sense, what are you or Anyone else doing?

I also understand that HouseCall is still evolving and the word on the street is that Curt has something big in the works…

Yea Kurt just rolled out his google calendar integration, I am sure there is more coming. I struggle with double emails when using Customer Factor.

If I had to pick one it would be housecall–for the price your getting alot

Much more intuitive , real Mobil app, customers love it, syncs with quick books online , processes my credit cards, does follow up etc

Responsibid is more of my online salesman and does a great job with it.

I would hope that Responsibid can become an add on to HCP.

That would be a nice feature but I agree that while I use and will continue to responsibid HCP is overall a great program

Alright @rolandal and @HouseCallPro I’d like to see marketing features also tied to Job Types. ie. I do a gutter job for a client in the fall and they aren’t a window client and don’t want fall window cleaning, so it sends them a Spring Window Cleaning offer email/postcard. Or a Window Cleaning client will get a 3-6-9-12 month email after they receive service. If they do get another window service at the three month mark, it resets the cycle.
I’d also like to have more boolean operators / criteria attached to the follow up. ie. I want to send thank you cards that offer a discount code to clients tagged #residential who spent over $100 for the service. Or clients tagged #commercial and #property management company receive a different reminder email and follow up

No offense but we can’t have it all. Actually you can it costs $$$$

That is true. But the database information is already there if your break up your services by category and the output (email/postcard) system is in place as well. There’s also already a system to make them all work together. From a programming standpoint it seems you are really just adding a few more if’s to the process rather than building the process from scratch.

I don’t think its that simple. Even though it’s a great idea. The postcards are third party

but the trigger for postcards is all in housecall. it would just be automating the trigger. because of this i’m using sendjim. so now i’ve got 3 platforms that all do followup but no single one is sufficient so I have to pay and do date entry three times for every service

I don’t understand the send Jim part? I have a bunch of rules for postcards in housecall

You can send with tags using the if or unless option

Thanks for the suggestions! I have shared them with our team and your votes have been added. As Brian shared, you can do this manually by taking advantage of the tagging feature. We understand how it would be preferable if it were automated, so this is something that we will consider building in the future! We appreciate the feedback and hope that you will be able to take advantage of the tagging feature for now.

Thanks for checking the thread. Just talked to Curt at RB and he said you guys are moving to Zapier so the databases can work together between both services

SendJim has full customization for front and back of the postcard as well as “Cold Call” postcards for jobs you would like to bid. It also can be customized for a particular customer with a shot of their home.
And I would like to have more than one criteria to send a given postcard. Not just the if/unless of one tag

Yes, although many people confuse Responsibid and HouseCall Pro as being competitive, we are actually very symbiotic services.

There is some slight overlap in features, but @Brian_C said it best: Responsibid is the “online salesman”, while HCP is the core operations side. We already have a booking feature through HouseCall app, but nothing as exhaustive and robust as Responsibids estimating & bidding engine.

We have a Zapier integration on the roadmap that will allow people to link the two together easy in the future! Something myself and Curt have chatted about!
