Hello Community from Germany :)

Hello Community,

I am from germany (Where its cold and snowy or rainy right now)
I got to this forum, or better said i got to know WindowCleaningResource from @Lukes YouTube Channel (Which i am a subscriber on).

Im in my second apprenticeship right now, the first one being Media Technologist Print, i went away from the company, tried to get a new job which didnt work out so i had to search for a new apprenticeship and now im actually learning cleaning overall as a Cleaner, im now in my second of three years total.

Right now i barely did anything else than glass, but theres more to come like carpets and walls and whatnot next year.

Already had 5 weeks of schoolings total with floors and carpets but thats not enough to safely know how to clean carpets and floors just by doing it a few days or hours only.

If you have any questions let me know and ask me out

Hello and welcome!

I’m interested in this apprenticeship thing. Is that something every citizen does? Is it like an alternative to University?

Hey Welcome! Very glad to have you

In germany you can either go further to school (Studying on a university for example) or you can learn a job for 2-4 years and go straight to working.

But you can still go self employed or back to school later down the road as well.

Also even if you dont have a school degree you can still get one later as well.

Thank you.

WELCOME! I’m new as well but your training has me amazed. I admire the European ed system in many regards and this kind of training/internships etc. is a great way to provide a better life for the people. Good on you for your efforts!

Right now its mostly rain or ice here, doesnt look like white christmas again this year…

Hey, welcome.
Here it is called Vocational Training. Usually about 18 months to 3 years, depending.

You can actually drop of a job and get into another within half a year or so, depends on the job, maybe it takes longer.

Window Cleaning is an example.
