yes down the frame it’s a white color where it had a reaction with the aluminum

It sounds like cement residue from water running down the window. It feels smooth to the touch, but you can feel it with a razor and to a lesser degree with your strip washer (it just feels like there is extra drag). I have only dealt with it using a razor and, if it is really light, steel wool. Razor takes a while and steel wool seems to take forever and I am sure that there is a chemical to help the process, but I don’t do chemicals beyond soap.

thanks wool seems to work at the bottom but after 3–4 inches no good

Depends, are you on mobile? If so click the three little lines at the top of the page next to your profile icon. Your profile icon is a D with a purple background. Once you click on the three lines click “new” and then at the top right there will be a button for “new topic”. Click that and add a title and the description of the problem.
