Glass sunroom

I had a customer ask for a price to clean her glass sunroom. It’s about 15’x15’. It’s got glass panel windows for walls and the ceiling is triangular glass panels that go to the peak. The peak is about 12’ high in the center. First of all, how do I price this out? Second of all, any advice on how to clean the outside part of the ceiling/roof?

As for pricing I’d suggest charging triple your standard per pane price.

For the outside tops, you can use WFP or I use a soft brush and rinse. I have my own soap mixture that “sheets” really well and leaves little to no streaks or spots behind

Tony, why triple the per pane price…due to the overhead work? Just curious…I did a sunroom a couple months ago…I think there were 39 panes…no screens…I just did my standard $5.00 per…wfp exterior, by hand inside…

Odd shaped panes and from the description odd angles going up. It sounds as if the wall angles up to a point sort of like a roof. In those scenarios I would spend more time rinsing to make sure there were no spotting issues.

David-

$5.00 per pane for both ins and outs? And if you were doing double-hungs, that would be $10.00 per window total, right?

A glass sunroom can be added onto the side of your home. You might choose to turn an existing space such as a patio or deck into a sunroom by adding the frames and windows.

Hi Lisa(?). Welcome. Are you a Window Cleaner?

That sounds like a good job for a wfp. I’ve never used one myself, but I bet it would come in handy for hard to access glass. A mr. long arm pole and squeegee work pretty well on curved atrium windows in my experience.

In my experiences doing sumrooms, we just used a regular 3 section unger pole for something like that. Now if the triangular glass is pointed on the top then you might need a swivel squeegie, perhaps?

I used to work for Patio Enclosures Inc for 11 years. we cleaned them with paper towels or rags and a can of foaming cleaner. If I can do it like that in a hour or so a squeegee is cake work.
