Glass Gleam 4 dilemma

Im not sure if thats a “tongue in cheek” way of proving the point Mike, but the reason that happens is that most stores will have an employee wash the door and thats usually with a soapy solution and some rags, when you wash it you pick up the residue and it makes your washer soapier

do you inhale or consume any narcotics before cleaning windows or after?

===============================

Ok…so are you claiming science as an authority on the subject or not?

If so prove it, if not, forget it.

Could be the soap residue others mention.

Suds can also be caused (even with GG4) by introducing air into the equation or agitating your mixture – try using a hogs hair brush with your solution, for example, or first putting GG4 into an empty bucket and then adding water.

To start, I’d like to ask you to stop using the equal marks as a delineator – they’re not necessary and they detract from posts (same as seeing an infinite number of periods from others, or hitting the Return key many times before posting.)

Second, I didn’t realize I was claiming anything.

Lastly, why would I forget anything?

I am.

Sorry…I thought you were claiming that gg4 did not leave a residue as a fact.

This all started when someone claimed that GG4 caused windows to stay clean longer.

I have not found that to be true.

That is all there is to what I am saying.

Not sure why. I was clear. I use Glisten. But the difference is minimal.

No, there was much more to what you said. i can quote if you like.

You said those who buy these soaps do so to feel special. you said it was all in their minds. You said people beieve what they want to believe. You said there was NO residue. You said to present the facts ( I did) you said you did not like it when someone posts stuff that is not true. You said you had been doing windows for 30 years and had hear a lot of nonsense. You said that the makers would have tested and posted the results…

You said much more than You did not find it to be true.

I had similar problems w/ a couple of my storefronts because they were using a (get this) dishsoap solution to clean the doors in between my cleanings. The suds are from the invisible residue left behind by the dishsoap.

I have a question for those who DO notice that windows stay longer with gg4 (or others).

How does Glisten do?

Its what I use now exclusively but I havent tried glass gleam. I sometimes do add a little extra for glide at times.

I use glisten. not exclusive but no other designer soap. I tried the GGseries and found them to be wanting for glide.

I use Glisten…and on the real dirty windows I add a touch of Dawn.

I prefer it. I have introduced a few others to it over at NWCD and they report similar experiences.

I try to keep the Dawn low for obvious reasons.

Ok…we have things we believe. Sometimes they are true and sometimes they are not true. That goes for me also. All I can say for sure is that I have seen no residue nor seen any evidence of it. That does not mean it might not exist. I have never found any cleaner to keep the windows clean longer than any other cleaner. If you have, use it.

I hope that Glisten works as good or close to as good as GG4 because it has plenty of Glide. I go about $10 an hour faster when I add a glide agent to my GG4. This is why I have a GG4 DILEMA.

More Glide…Less Resoiling More Glide…Less Resoiling.

I want that extra income, but I don’t want to give less service.

Merv: THAT was the fairest offering yet. since it does not seem to work for you…you might like glisten. (honest)

mdfel Steve Wright used it, wrote about it in his manual (which I assume you have since you also use his webtemplate)

He turned me onto it years ago. Try it and let us know what ya think.

Thanks Merv. I will give abc glisten a try.

I have tried glisten. I went back to GG4. A touch more glide, but doesn’t do the job like GG4 does. Adding sörbo glide will give you a better slip than glisten.

Thanks. I will give it a try. Actually I think different conditions might work better with different cleaners. I use gg4 sometimes when I don’t want suds. The kind of dirt, the degree of dirt, the weather, including the humidity or dryness of the air, and whether you are in the direct sun or shade, all might call for some cleaners over others. Sometimes I might use nothing. Sometimes It is just more interesting to use something else. I like to have some choices.

again… when? and why? sorry if I missed your answer the first time I asked.
