I love it when people comment on my style as they walk by while I’m cleaning storefronts. They throw out the phrase “lost art”. You’re right it’s like some mistacle art form you have to make a pilgrimage to obtain. I should write a book. The Zen of Window Cleaning. JK

Daniel quick vertical pulls , next pull tap at the top and feather the top and give the channel a slight tilt to the water side.

Thanks, Steve. It just doesn’t look like Steve-O doing any of that. Maybe it’s so fast i can’t discern it.

Daniel I wasn’t referring to Steve O video, I was responding to your general question “but what do I practice.”

Doing one or a combination of techniques that I mentioned will solve the “line.”

@Rich7428 Hey Steve O can you chime in and explain your straight pull technique for everyone. Thanks.

So, there’s two steps to this; 1. Make sure that your angling the squeegee so that the water is running off the back into the wet part of the window or on the frame ( hope that makes sense). 2. Make sure to at least use a new side of a rubber everyday, I do anywhere from 7-8 hours of commercial work a day and with this you won’t leave lines or streaks and check the sharp edge of your rubber on the tips to make sure that you pull off the small shredded parts to keep it from leaving a line on the middle of the glass when doing straight pulls. Also if your going to do straight pulls always towel the top edge when done this will wipe away the cloud or drips that straight pulls leave! Hope this helps!
