??? hhmmm

I had a youth pastor that forgot to zip his fly before he went up to preach in front of like 150 of us youth… He remembered half way through the sermon and had to turn around to zip it up. lol embarrassing moments I hope that doesn’t happen to me.

Yea, a little embarrassing. Standing on a stool in front a tall window reaching for the top, squeegee down to the bottom on a straight pull to squatting position…oh crap!. Yea, pretty sure the customer saw standing in the kitchen. She never said anything. Learn to pole! LEARN TO POLE! LOL

If you’re canvassing storefronts, be sure to quantify your hit/miss ratio in a positive way. For example: Even if you can only close a deal at 5% of all the places you visit, then tell yourself “ok, all I have to do is write 20 estimates to pick up another account”

The beginning is the hardest part. But you’ll learn something new every hour of every day for weeks if you keep at it. Don’t cheat yourself out of the experience, even if initial results are discouraging.

Prepare for discouragement and commit to not giving up even when the initial excitement wears off.

Oh, and don’t sweat it. You’ll mess stuff up, say something stupid, bid wrong, etc, etc. It’s ok.

Hate to state the obvious, but if you cover your bases on the basics, you will be in the upper echelon of your new profession…things like wear clean clothes, comb your hair, brush your teeth, smile, be polite and courteous, use the words “thank you”, etc…you know, the stuff you learned before you made it to 10 years old. Best of luck to you.
