First time clean vs maintenance cleans

Usually the tint is on the inside of the home, so you can steal wool the outside. You really can’t do anything other the soup up the window and squeegee the inside tinted side

Can anyone recommend a good hog’s hair brush to buy?

I saw this one on wcr:

Anyone try it? Which size would you go with?

You need to buy one with a hole in it if you’ll be using it on a pole. I had 2 and kept the smaller 10" one. Don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I roll with a round bucket, they’re 10" wide.

I got the one from WCR with a threaded hole in it. Without taking a tape to it I think it’s 14". It’s nice to have around for some special situations but I wouldn’t say it’s absolutely necessary.

Kind of falls into the same category of tools as a natural sponge for me. One of those old school items that still maintains utility to this day. There is probably some other stuff you already have that can substitute adequately. But it’s sometimes cool and handy to bust it out. FYI the brush smells like a very clean pig when you dip it soapy water.

Do you brush the frames on first time cleans.

I always get a round smooth hole in my hogs hair brush.

Housekeepers come on a regular schedule of weekly, bi-weekly for maintenance cleans; window cleaners usually quarterly or monthly for maintenance cleans; you take your vehicle in for regular maintenance on a schedule other than daily - so maintenance clean is not everyday.
Also, there absolutely is a difference. First time clean means a few years since the last clean and lots of build up consisting of dirt, pollen, tree leavings, mineral deposits. Maintenance clean means removing all of that stuff often enough to maintain the look of the windows.

There is a huge difference between first time cleans and maintenance cleans and should be priced according. If you think other wise your mistaken your leaving money on the table.

If they’re absolutely filthy I’ll double the price. If it’s a first time on something not so dirty and signing on to regular service I do it for regular price.
