First bad review

Did you call him the same day to cancel?

I always ask for an address, or at least the city that they live in.
But I just blew my mind because we probably exchanged about 20-30emails.
I asked the guy a couple times for his number, he never gave it to me.

20 to 30 e-mails to book a job is a red flag to me.

If you always ask first thing then it will never slip your mind.

Not to be too harsh, but you probably deserved that bad review. You wasted a lot of the customer’s time. Don’t make the same mistake again.

Also, a 20+ message back and forth with a customer is insane. You need to cut that down to 4 messages maximum.

Customer: "Hey I want window cleaning"
You: "Okay, I need the following information [questions including address]"
Customer: "My cat is about to have kittens, do you like cats?"
You: "More than dogs. When you have the all the answers for my questions let me know."
You: never hear from customer again

it was back and forth conversation
First for price on solar panels.
Then price for windows
Then I’m interested in both getting done
Then what days I’m not available
Then, no wait I have to ask my wife if that day is okay
Then, yes she is okay
Then, no wait were going out of town
Then never mind my son will be home
Then, what was the price again?
Then, give me a discount because I’m doing both services
Then, okay let’s book this day
Etc etc etc

I have a potential customer that has sent me a text about 6 times. I keep telling her the only available opening I have is the Feb & Aug schedule. She keeps asking “Feb is your first availability?”

Red flag for sure!

If you need to have a conversation then call the customer. You don’t use email for that kind of back and forth.

Like I said BEFORE
I asked for his number a few times, he never gave it to me. I gave him my number a couple of times and told him to call with any other questions… and he still chose to email me

Next time, just send “The Crew”.

99 percent of people on yelp are winey losers. My favorite restaurants that are 5 star steak houses are rates 2-3 stars on yelp. What does that tell you. Llok up your favorite places and there are nothing but shitheads bitching about the place
